Trump shot? What the hell

I got interested in it from watching Beavis and Butthead.

I definitely will.

Remember these carefree times?

Yeah, my typing(horrible) got ahead of my thoughts.

It is a science. I actually asked to be replaced. Wasn’t confident enough in being able to remember the mathematics type stuff. And I prefer direct action and react teams.

The theory and mathematics supporting the theory is nice to know.

Bottomline, is that the application of the theory is far more important.

ā€œThose who can, do. Those who cannot, teach.ā€ And those of us that can’t do either post on forums.

I was likely over thinking it. I taught marksmanship in the Marines, was top shot on the team, but definitely preferred the direct-action stuff. Snipers are used for surveillance, intel, and overwatch. We’ve had 1 sniper shot in department history taken by a teammate. Vaporized a guy’s dome from about 75 feet.

 Yeah! I’ve always been pretty handy with firearms but I know a few Recon & Seals that are really much better.

I know the math too, but I know a few scientists and engineers that are also much better.

So, yeah. I’ll just stick to the forums & whatnot.

I look at violence as a form of communication.

Different people just have different ways of delivering their message.

I have Mercy and Grace tattooed on my hands to remind me violence isn’t always the answer…only mostly and I miss violence

Stared too long into that abyss

Man looks in the abyss, there’s nothing staring back at him. At that moment, man finds his character. And that is what keeps him out of the abyss.

It was just a movie, but man I thought that was an awesome line.

There’s nothing like the hunting of man … especially ones that want to kill you

What film??

Wall Street, 1987.

add: but in my mind I always think of the Charlie Sheen character from Platoon, 1986

I love Platoon. Chris Taylor.

Yes. And so 2.5 & even 1.5 MOA creates a fairly wide variable with a face as a target, and the extra 30 yards adds to the equation as the ā€œlanding zoneā€ widens further with distance. The vast majority of shots would’ve landed right in the face somewhere but there was enough tolerance variation to miss, which was the fortunate outcome.

And the MOA rating of a rifle is measured in the perfect scenario mentioned earlier. Controlled wind tunnels and stationary bench rests vs even slight variations from shooter and/or environmental error.

Sorry to bump a now dead horse but I just saw this post in the chain.

If there is any truth to this

This is CNN. Washington Post has an article claiming 86 seconds elapsed after the gunman was first noticed by the public. Meanwhile, the people whose JOB it is to notice this shit didn’t??? This ā€œindependentā€ investigation better have some real answers.

Right wing meme culture is strong right now because it gets to parody reality, not imagined stereotypes.
