This is the thing, who are you going to kill (if you decided this was war), your neighbor who doesn’t care one way or the other, the first transgender you see or an elected official? Or do you just home school or choose a private school if you can afford it? I get what you’re saying because this whole don’t tell the parents thing, which is a very California idea, is wrong. It’s also dumb as at some point you’ll notice your kid is going through changes. It’s like these laws where schools cannot tell parents if their kids are identifying as the opposite gender or come out, in the school at least, as gay. They think that a whole school can know and somehow it won’t get to the parents? It’s all done to virtue signal to a very vocal, but small, demographic.
Can she shoot it one handed? If so, that is impressive.
It for sure has. And leading universities are using years of compiled data demonstrating the train wreck to roll back and even eliminate DEI initiatives. Texas is leading the way for legal challenges using the same objective data. It was a well intentioned but failed social experiment.

Well, we can still vote. And when it comes to schools, people just need to get involved and run for the various positions in local government. In my town they passed a proposal to raise property taxes. The public reaction was strong enough to get them to repeal it. They knew it would cost them in the next election.

It was pretty ironic when leagues made a big push for more DEI in ownership and staffing, but not on the teams themselves. Cherry-picked application is how you know it’s bullshit.

I don’t agree with this. All of the crap that can fall under the woke umbrella is part of a nefarious agenda. They don’t care if the person in the job is incompetent as long as it isn’t a straight man.
Who would want this? I want people who don’t reflect society. Have they taken a look at society?
I only think you’re a little more racist than me, but I don’t think you’re the most racist on the board. We’ve got quite a few Asians on here and Californiagrown was full woke which, when you actually break down the policies, requires a deeply racist view of the world. Racist policies are deemed necessary to achieve their lofty, vaguely-defined vision of society through social engineering executed along racial lines.
That’s exactly why I quoted it. The USSS has always been a mission based organization. The mission of re-shaping the USSS along social lines now supersedes the mission of providing the best possible protection at any nearly any expense.

I don’t think the genesis of the idea was nefarious. It was always misguided but not nefarious. DEI got swept up in to a broader scope of resource redistribution and control but it was originally the next genesis of affirmative action and whatever else before that.

I disagree. Wokeism is nefarious at it’s core.
It all goes back to a very basic idea. That stuff over there was ill-gotten or owed to others, and it should be seized and redistributed in accordance with the prevailing social vision. You are playing with fire right from the start, and I’m not the first person to compare government to a fire.
Fire enables everything in society to take place and there would be no society without it. If you fail to control the fire, it can consume everything.
