Trump Gauntlet is Now Officially Dropped

Oh, and the Reagan/Trump unfavorable comparison? Doesn’t seem to pan out…

“But in terms of image comparisons, the poll evidence shows that at this time in the 1980 campaign year, Reagan’s image was significantly more positive than Trump’s image is at the same time in the 2016 campaign.”

I have no doubt you can find polls that show Hillary and Trump are unfavorable among voters, but I really don’t have the time or patience to read the methodology for all of them.

Unlike polls, let me post my own data. This, however, assuming no (to minimal) voter fraud, is indisputable.

Notice how Trump has more delegates than others combined. Further, the polls show him winning in tonight’s election.

A 327 point spread, with 1,243 left is barely a lead.

In other words, the front runner, for the GOP, is winning by favorability. The Dem’s front runner, on the other hand, is slightly winning, without super delegates.

It doesn’t matter by how much Trump wins the GoP nomination…In fact, it’s evidence of just how bleak the GoP’s future is.

This part is true.

This is conjecture.

This,

is now the GoP…

Rofl.

Look at my post above this one. The party is now the National Enquirer/Conspiracy theory kook party. That’s your nominee. Whose lead you just shared.

I did, where? I thought I was merely pointing out facts

Which involved pointing out how much he was winning in the GoP process…

I did point out that Trump has a lead, yes; Because he does.

You pointed out he is unfavorable. My response is, apparently he is more favored than the media portrays.

Wait, your evidence that Trump has a better image with the voting public at large than what various polls have shown is that he’s leading well in the GoP delegate count?

Well, as long as someone is laughing I’m good with that.

But…don’t forget my prediction my friend. Hillary Clinton WILL NOT become President of the United States.

By the way did we ever actually solidify a bet on that?

Catch me up hombre…

Zeb, any comments? I thought I might have seen you assure us that if Reagan could do it maybe Trump could, too. But their standing doesn’t actually seem to be all that similar.

Yep. I’ll never post here again if Trump wins the General.

Another great comment. But, please allow me to add one important thing. While the Trump base is wildly in love with him there are many, many people who will be voting for Trump of every party stripe who refuse to admit it to a pollster. In fact, many even refuse to admit it to their close friends and family members.

I recall something like this happening once on this site. It had to do with working out though. Does anyone remember what that was? Maybe something to do with front squats…

I think Charles Manson’s negatives are lower than Donald Trump’s at this time. But…and this is a HUGE BUT…this is only the beginning of May. Things have a way of turning around in 6 months. I know you don’t buy it maybe because you hate Trump so much. Maybe because you just don’t believe such high negatives can turn. But…they can.

They just declared Trump the winner of Indiana.

Zeb, Trump just implied papa Cruz’ involvement with Oswald/Assassination. That’s not a man who’ll be reversing his image. Knowing that he just did that, I’ll now ask you, is Trump a kook? If you, a GoP loyalist feel obligated to admit he’s a kook (and you sort of have to, or it just gets plain silly), he aint’ winning a general election.

During the hard fought democrat election of 2008 many Hillary supporters said they’d never vote for Obama. A funny thing happened …they took a look at McCain and voted for Obama.

WHAT? You mean people who said they wouldn’t vote for a certain candidate actually changed their minds?

My gosh what is this world coming to?

Yeah…it happens like this on occasion. The Reagan supporters were not going to vote for Ford yet they did. The Ted Kennedy supporters said they were not going to vote for Carter, yet they did. Oh dang I don’t have time to make a long list. But it happens all the time. Sure some republicans will sit home or write in their ideal candidate3 (eye roll). But the fact of the matter is most who are currently ranting about never voting for Trump will in fact vote for him. I just don’t want all the Trump haters heads to explode when the inevitable happens…just wanna give em a heads up.
