I do genuinely believe that Donald Trump is playing a stratagem and is good at doing so.
By firing Comey when he did, he just hamstrung his own agenda for months. The Senate now has to confirm a new director.
Because of the unbelievably questionable timing of this firing, as the Russia investigation is ramping up (grand juries, subpoenas, etc.), he is going to have to present someone who is clearly non-partisan and hasn’t been involved with him in any capacity (I hear he might be looking at Giuliani and Christie, lol) or else members of his own party are going to stop it dead in its tracks (it only takes a few).
For a man who claims to want to completely overhaul the US government, this was a foolish move.

Don’t you dare give Trump any credit for any reason ever. He is a billionaire, beat 16 republican candidates mostly all of them experienced Governors and Senators. He then went on to defeat the most powerful political machine the democrats had and has become President through LUCK! And don’t you dare say otherwise.

Just sit back and enjoy it. I have been belly laughing the past couple of days watching the I hate Trump club meet here and on other threads. I genuinely want to thank each and every one of them. Each brings his own brand of hate. “He’s an idiot” “he lacks sophistication” “he doesn’t know what he’s doing” “One foolish move after another” “bla bla bla…” It’s funny I hate to interrupt it and am even now regretting jotting off this post as it interrupts slightly the great negative anti Trump rhetoric which has come to amuse me so very much.
Anyway keep in mind as we go forward when President Trump (I used the word President just to annoy the haters) appoints even more Conservative Judges to the Supreme Court, lowers our taxes, overhauls Obama care, makes America important on the world stage once again. And lowers by tens of thousands the illegals flowing through the border …IT WAS ALL LUCK!

All I’m doing is saying that Trump must have a level of brilliance in the art of 4D chess, which undoubtedly he has. Sure you can disagree and say its all a series of fortuitous blunders but he is the President. I know you dislike him and I don’t agree with him on all issues but, credit where credit’s due, he is good at 4D chess.
Well there goes the thread. 
I have a suspicion that Trump does do outrageous things on purpose… to own the narrative. He’s still getting free publicity from the media. If you track how much coverage he’s still getting, it’s enormous.
Here’s the thing, most people are not politicos that follow this stuff. The 46% that voted for him still like him. His narrative is built around a vicious establishment and media that are actively working against him. The Trump derangement crowd are playing into that narrative quite nicely.

Fair enough, and apologies for associating you with either of those two. We’ve just had some, er, unfortunate incidents of posters trolling and doing other things under multiple accounts, and we like to jump on such fraudulence when we see it.
That said, your claims about “4D chess mastery” are so divorced from reality that it highly suggests you’re just trolling for effect. It’s one thing to think Trump is good - its wholly another to think and contend he is some genius-level strategist operating at levels beyond mere mortals. The former is debatable, the latter is simply outlandish.
