Trump and Roe V. Wade

So why did you reply to my post? And it didn’t mention anything about excess either?

And that thing we’re not supposed to mention is the very reason people are against those sane preventative measures. We aren’t helping solve the problem because of what we think an invisible guy would want.

That’s not my stance either. So don’t attribute it to me.

Cmon man I didn’t say it was you at all. We as in society.

Fair enough. Despite what you think, you cannot kill God and you won’t. Separation of church and state is the best we got and it isn’t perfect and isn’t going to be.
I am perfectly willing to support a science, fact based education plan. How much good education will do is a different matter. I have seen stats that sweep the gamut. To ‘does very little’ to ‘works great’. But better to have facts in the hands of people than anything else.

Holt: Secretary Castro, this one is for you. All of you on stage support a woman’s right to an abortion. You all support some version of a government health-care option. Would your plan cover abortion, Mr. Secretary?

Castro: Yes, it would. I don’t believe only in reproductive freedom. I believe in reproductive justice. And, you know, what that means is that just because a woman — or let’s also not forget someone in the trans community, a trans female, is poor, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have the right to exercise that right to choose. And so I absolutely would cover the right to have an abortion

Lol

And despite what you think I’m not trying to. Where would I start? Do you have a GPS or something? Do I need a harpoon? Musket?

Well it’s pretty clear that the states who do the least and preach abstinence only are the states with the highest teen pregnancy rates.

Well, I don’t know the education policies of these states, but the socio-economic link seems to me a bigger factor with Texas being the outlier. Save that Texas is a big state, with tons of illegals, probably getting pregnant on purpose.

The good news is the teen birth rate is falling over all:

And the good news for all of us is that abortion rates are dropping too… Correlation or causation I don’t know, but I will take it. Being that it’s a Vox source I am not convinced of their assertions.
Am I right to guess that though you are pro-choice, you are not a huge fan of abortion overall?

I don’t know pro-choice people who are fans of abortion. I don’t think women are getting pregnant and having abortions for kicks. I would like the abortion rate to be 0. It’s the safest and has no potential physical or psychological issues. But to be there we would have to have 0 unwanted children. Now this won’t happen or course but education and contraceptive use get us closer.

I’ve seen some festive pro-aborts. When you don’t believe in inherent human rights or somehow think the fetus is an alien organism, there isn’t any reason to treat abortion any different than any other elective procedure.

I don’t think women are purposefully getting pregnant so they can have an abortion

Ok. I’ve still seen some pretty festive pro-aborts.

Won’t disagree but pro lifers have also harmed abortion providers and blew up clinics. Fuck George Tiller had his clinic bombed and got shot two different times one of Which was fatal. Pretty festive.

True. It’s just that the pro-abort position kills about 600k human lives a year. Yet, people somehow manage to get pretty excited about it.

Supper!

Hungry?!

The difference is there is huge and consistent debate on when and what an abortion is in terms of killing lives. No one is attempting to argue that shooting an abortion provider in the head is not murder.

But we’ve done this already and showed that legally we don’t look at them the same way. It’s why if you ignore a doctor and do something and have a miscarriage you aren’t charged with manslaughter.

Yes.

Not a real one.

Of course, anyone that believes abortion is murder should be making that argument.

Even those who believe in inherent human rights disagree on what they are and admit that what they do believe is not set in stone. In other words, they are all full of shit.

Public polling would say otherwise. I don’t think many people think shooting someone in the head should not equal jail time. But the majority of people support abortion in the cases of rape and incest and don’t think providers should be jailed.

It’s ok to think it isn’t a debate in your own mind but it’s certainly a debate in the minds of the masses.

And legally we haven’t treated conception as a full human in a long time if ever.

“ Mike Pence insisted that he and Trump “would never support legislation against women who make the heartbreaking choice to end a pregnancy.”

Jeanne Mancini, president of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund, said then, “No pro-lifer would ever want to punish a woman who has chosen abortion. We invite a woman who has gone down this route to consider paths to healing, not punishment.”

Doesn’t seem like they are equating this to putting a bullet in someone’s head. My guess would be all three support jail time for someone that does that.

There is no debate in that it is the premeditated killing of an innocent individual human life. It is no different than killing me now. Killing me now, or back in the womb, kills me. The exact same individual life. We covered an individual organism’s life cycle. Any other suggestion is flat earther level nonsense or cowardice. If you want to support the legal premeditated killing of 600k already existing human lives for some vision of society (less “unwanted” to sully the view), let’s say it.

Now, I have a car to wash!
