I didn’t bump it. I was responding as I haven’t been on in a while. I managed to break my leg and get strep in the mean time so I was otherwise occupied.
Should probably refrain from specifically asking for evidence if you don’t want to discuss it ![]()
That being said, I’m sure you’d have loved to discuss it if you weren’t so hilariously wrong lol
Oh shoot, man. Here’s to hoping you have a speedy recovery!
Thanks Sloth, naturally all this happened as my new training program started to take off and get really good results. The most depressing thing is starting over and not really being able to train… That’s a bummer.
I don’t remember starting any religious threads, I may have years ago. I have participated in them, most of them I didn’t start.
But this is not one and any discussion on religion on this thread is a sideline discussion or a strawman.
Point being, this discussion about Roe v. Wade is not a religious discussion and their is no point in bring it up, IMHO.
My only point as a sideline discussion, is that there are real satanists who really worship satan, that’s it.
I don’t want to get into the weeds of the origin of satanism and church history. It’s laborious, boring and intensely research intensive. If you want to lol at that go nuts.
The only question I have is, do you believe there are real satanists, people who worship the devil, the evil one, evil incarnate, however you want to put it?
Or do you believe there are only a group of atheists who want to freak out Christians with a name game?
I believe the sticky bit was the existence of actual devil worshipers vs. atheists who call themselves part of the the satanic temple.
Have I said something that indicates all satanists are atheists? I mean I know I obviously haven’t, but it seems like a strange question.
Not a very deep point lol (or one that anyone ever disputed once).
You not believing that labelling non believers as satanists started with the Catholic Church seemed sticky too.
Fwiw, I don’t actually care to discuss it if you don’t want to. You didn’t even know it’s origins, despite having access to Google. Satanism ideology very closely mirrors free market and individualism mentality. Virtually all of their tenants were spawned as critiques of the overly controlling Catholic church.
In my above post I go into this. The difference between the satanic temple (atheists) and the church of Satan (Satan worshipers).
He doesn’t actually care. He made up his mind about these people when he saw the word Satan.
Don’t speak for me p. I can speak for myself.
I don’t remember how we even got into this discussion, but I think enough has been said. There are atheists who profess to be members of the satanic temple and then there are the real things. And the real ones are pretty scary people. That’s really the only point I think I was making, about what I don’t remember anymore.
Bwop. Who coulda saw that coming lolol
Yeah you’re wrong here. Take a clue at why some states aren’t doing sex education and why teen pregnancy rates are higher in those places. Same thing with contraceptive use. Two things that decrease unwanted children.
If you don’t want to talk about religion just stop talking about it but acting like discussing why some states aren’t doing these things doesn’t mean it’s unnecessary. If you’re going to have a discussion on abortion you need to talk about unwanted children and if it’s possible to reduce the frequency of that happening.
You haven’t been talking about abortion in the abortion thread for quite some time now so I’m not sure why everyone else needs a lecture on staying on topic anyways.
If only it was possible to not talk about something without telling people they should stop talking about something…
The posters who say life is sacred and base their opinion on abortion on their religious beliefs are the ones saying to keep religion out of it. What illness do I need to claim having in order to get the drugs they’re on?
You’re welcome, Pat. That’s frustrating, but you’ll bounce back I’m sure. God bless.
We have to stop killing children before we worry about what to do with the ‘excess’.
Good thing I’ve been discussing stopping unwanted pregnancies and not the “excess.”
Less unwanted children equals less abortions. Plain and simple.
I have already agreed with you that sane preventive measures are prudent.
