I know you and I like to be snarky, but this is a case where my experience trumps your quick AI search.
hate congressā¦nothing but corrupt p.o.s.'s,ā¦but no matter who the president is and whomever you elect in congressā¦the debt will keep going upā¦its just the way it is, the more realize thatā¦the easier life will be
What point are you trying to make?
The issue is Congress didnāt authorize this one either.
Go to bed grandpa.
The constitutionality of the
War Powers Act of 1973 (War Powers Resolution) is heavily debated, with Congress asserting its authority to regulate war-making, while most presidents have deemed it an unconstitutional infringement on executive power. While never ruled upon by the Supreme Court, the Act stands as a lawful, though frequently disregarded, congressional restriction.
The War Powers Act is lawful.
Not required tooā¦read a book and learn something
Learn to read. I never said they needed permission.
I said:
āTrump ordered the strikes, Congress didnāt declare war or authorize the military action, the War Powers resolution failed, so Trump continues to do what he wants.ā
Thatās literally what happened.
Are you senile?
The War Powers Act hasnāt failed yet. You just donāt understand it
So geniusā¦tell us all how the war powers act failed
You two geezers are trying way too hard to be clever.
Tell everyone what ChatGPT told you.
How ātechnicallyā it hasnāt failed yet even though Congress already voted down the resolution twice.
I believe his comment was about the resolution to the 1973 War Powers Act. And it most definitely should have failed.
Why would you change the rules after the game has started? Moronic! If Congress wants to revisit the 1973 War Powers Act, they need to have the common sense to attempt it when we are not engaged in a military action taken under the War Powers Act. Duh!
I thought that shit was a myth. Has something like this really happened? Can I have some examples? Iām finding hard to believe a minor could just have a sex change operation without parental consent. You people canāt even buy a beer before 21.
Hereās the Maine state law clearly explaining that a 16 year old can get hormone therapy without parental consent. I think more carve outs exist but I would need to spend some time digging into school policies.
Jesus Christina, thatās nuts. Nuts, I tell you.
We still mostly use the word āsexā instead of āgenderā, which for most of my life referred to gramatical gender. Even Che Guevara t-shirt wearing me wouldnāt be down with this shit.
Roy Moore is total scum cause he dated teen girls with their parentās consent but this is somehow okay.
I am not a Republican. You asked a question - why do Republicans do this?
I had some logical answers
I did mess up tho - it could be this as well
So I see three logical answers now - thank you. And I agree that too much compromise has been and is a problem - maybe the problem.
Exactly. Kids can destroy their bodies with hormones but cannot get a tattoo. It is insane.
It is not an insanity I have to deal with much - thankfully, but I am practicing twisted logic for good reason. I would lightly suggest anyone less than 50 years old to do the same - it will probably come in handy some day
maniacal laughter
upā¦its just the way it is, the more realize that
Yes, until it all crumbles.
I am quite surprised it is still ambling along, impressive really.
Thank you. I noticed something
Section 3 A (3)
health care professional shall
(3) Clearly and fully explore with the minor the alternative choices available for managing and treating gender dysphoria;
Seemed impossible. What does that even mean? What a claim to make.
Kept reading
3 B (4)
B. After providing the information and counseling required by paragraph A, the health care professional shall have the minor sign and date a form stating:
(4) The alternatives for managing gender dysphoria have been clearly and fully explored with the minor;
How in the hell is anyone, let alone a minor supposed to know what that even means? Clearly and fully explore all alternatives. But then thatās why they have the minor sign that part rather than an adult or professional!!!
Yeah. I canāt see how anyone can think underage teens should be making this kind of choices.
Incredibly stupid.
Laws are for reason made in such a manner that minors canāt decide everything in their life. Science supports this. Under 25 years old is not fully developed, not to mention under 18 years old.
Jesus Christina, thatās nuts. Nuts, I tell you.
We still mostly use the word āsexā instead of āgenderā, which for most of my life referred to gramatical gender. Even Che Guevara t-shirt wearing me wouldnāt be down with this shit.
It gets even nuttier when you realize that public educators are guiding students into these decisions - which is really just grooming - all under the guise of compassion and understanding. The teacher or counselor then connects the student with a āhealthcareā provider who then goes on to make that 16 year-old a lifetime medical patient. The parents can be clueless about the entire process and that is totally legal in Maine.
Convincing a boy that he should chop off his dick or a girl to chop off her breasts starts way before age 16 in Maine public schools. If an 8 year-old claims to be transgender and claims that their parents would be abusive if they knew, the schools are well within the law to shield this information from parents. Lewiston Public Schools has enacted this policy.
The whole woke worldview is a bizarre cult, complete with weird sex stuff with kids. First they lie and say it isnāt happening and nobody is trying to make it happen, then they say it is happening but only rarely, then they say that it is a good thing that it is happening and call you a Nazi if you disagree.
How in the hell is anyone, let alone a minor supposed to know what that even means? Clearly and fully explore all alternatives. But then thatās why they have the minor sign that part rather than an adult or professional!!!
See above. Itās a cult and confusing children is an important recruiting tool and a source of validation when the adults successfully trans a child.
Itās a massive public policy priority and Maine Democrats show no signs of walking any of it back. That may be a good thing in the long run, as the fad is already starting to fade. A whole lot of kids are going to grow up, leave the public institutions, and find out that the world doesnāt treat them as special unicorns like the institution did, along with all of the other baggage that comes along with taking cross-sex hormones and (eventually) getting surgery.
It gets even nuttier when you realize that public educators are guiding students into these decisions - which is really just grooming - all under the guise of compassion and understanding.
I reckon in the back of their minds, they must really feel like theyāre doing a good deed and thinking āāIām such a tolerant, good hearted person⦠a HERO, for helping these kids fight societal pressure and be who they really areāā or something of sorts.
That may be a good thing in the long run, as the fad is already starting to fade.
From a distance, it does seem like the tran stuff is winding down.
Yes, until it all crumbles.
And when it doesā¦we are all doomed anywaysā¦just live life to the fullest (not reckless) until it does
