Looks like a gym rat, sounds like a gym rat, acts like a gym rat, probably is a gym rat. A fake plate stunt with a whole bunch of soldiers under orders to cheer for him and never, ever talk about the fake weights lifted is the kind of stunt leaders in socialist hellholes pull, and socialists are well-known to project their stupid crap on to other people who don’t believe in socialism.
For a few examples;
Mao Zedong claimed to have swam 9 miles down the Yangtze River in just over an hour at age 72 during a period when his leadership was under question, which of course was heavily publicized in his state-run media.
There was that whole “New Soviet Man” media hype fest that turned out to be a whole lot of steroids and steroid derivatives given to their mutant athletes to win in the Olympics. This extended into places like communist East Germany, which was also a natural extension of National Socialist sentiments about ubermensch and Nazi super-soldiers. It made for some great action flicks and Rocky sequels.
Early Soviets had “worker sports” that made all kinds of claims about unbelievable athletic prowess in unsanctioned Worker Olympiad competition to claim that socialism unlocked hidden human potential in the workers that decadent capitalist bourgeoise training methods couldn’t touch.
Kim Jong-il might take the cake out of every socialist nutjob in history. He claims to have bowled a perfect 300 on his first time bowling, shot a 38 under par on his first attempt at golf (including 11 holes-in-1), various mountaineering accomplishments, and being the inspiration for other fake athletic feats by North Koreans.
They have always been the theater kids. They were theater kids 100 years ago and Democratic Socialists are theater kids today.
A former Army officer who is obviously pretty fit for his mid 40’s benching 315 for a single seems entirely believable to this Gen X lifter with a well-honed bullshit detector and a 1500 gym lift total done lifetime natty.

Is this actually a weight training forum??? It is difficult for me to believe that a group of people who have likely seen untold numbers of men bench press 315lbs, has some that question that a government employee can actually do a single rep with 315lbs.

TDS is wild. For an even crazier example, Blackgirlinmaine wrote an essay shitting all over Kash Patel for chugging a beer in the men’s USA Hockey locker room and being excited for the moment (and Patel is one of the many hockey kids who didn’t come close to sniffing a roster spot on an American Olympic hockey team).
She had a whole lot of other problems with hockey in general. It turns out pro hockey is racist due to disproportionate outcomes that favor white people. I suspect she’s never heard of PK Subban or any of the other nonwhite hockey players who managed to excel at the highest levels. It may be possible she doesn’t understand the differences in weather with latitude even after moving to Maine to operate her race grift.
She’s one of the most popular bloggers in Maine, which doesn’t say a lot, but she’d definitely a leading advocate for gay race communism in my neck of the woods.
To be fair…LOL, the origin of this “fake 315” narrative probably originated in some Libtard Reddit forum; and NO, they don’t lift weights in those types of forums.

I was arguing with zecarlo for years before I discovered Reddit and realized he’s just a projection of Reddit rhetoric here on T-Nation. Reddit rhetoric is basically just a mishmash of German dialectics, including Marx but especially featuring Hegel’s aufheben or “sublation” of ideas, aka trying to poke holes in a narrative.
I don’t post on Reddit, but I do like reading a few of the non-political forums I’ve discovered since.
I sometimes wonder if maybe zecarlo is looking up at the same moon I am right now while trying to deconstruct the political ideas expressed on a hockey internet forum.

Hockey held the line more than any other sport against wokism. It is also much, much, better watched live. There’s a life lesson in there somewhere.
Those two German guys and a bunch of other German philosophers came up with all kinds of ideas that translated extremely poorly to state policy, state priorities, ideas about race-based public policies as a means to achieve social justice for certain ethnic groups, central economic planning, rent controls, price controls, wage controls, and nationalization of major industries that are unaligned with the prevailing political party’s social vision.
Hockey has been my favorite sport to watch for the last two decades, and I don’t even know how to ice skate.

A lot of us here in Lewiston were wondering if ICE managed to deport most of the people shooting up downtown because we had probably the longest stretch of no gunshots in at least several years. Last night the streak ended.
If there is one small blessing in all of this, it is that Lewiston gunpersons are consistently unable to strike any people when they pop off rounds. That’s one good clue it isn’t the hunting enthusiasts who are shooting up downtown.
Israel must have major stuff on Trump. War on their behalf again.

I wonder what purpose the bombing will serve. I suspect there would be better ways to aid the rebellion (which I hope will succeed, fuck Khamenei).
This and last year have shown that Trump is not going to towards isolation policy, rather towards Monroe’s doctrine.
We haven’t declared war since 1942 when we put Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria on notice.
I’ll be skeptical of nearly anything that reaches me for at least the next 48 hours, but I predict this will follow the same kind of pattern we’ve seen in Trump’s second term.
Trump does something bold and decisive.

Things actually turn out pretty well.
Everyone moves on to the next thing to freak out about.
None of them admit they were wrong and continue their career path of making money by being anti-Trump.
