I don’t mean to suggest they will stop trying to lie, cheat, and steal as a matter of course. I’m suggesting that even fewer people will believe them about anything, effectively sinking the party on a national level.
The leadership is in too deep to do anything but double down at this point.

Basically boomers and Gen X who still get their news from the news, plus a whole lot of younger people too busy with work and raising families to do anything other than barely pay attention to politics. I know a lot of folks like that. I used to be like that when I traveled a lot for work and always had youth hockey events almost year round
It could also motivate a lot of unengaged people to get out and vote upon realizing the actual stakes. Especially in local elections.

I confidently voted for Obama first term when I was working 60 hours/week on a massive SAP implementation project. There are still a LOT of people like that out there who can be reasoned with.
The woke left will retreat to Reddit and Tik Tok if we can successfully defund them. They will always be around, especially in academia, but much less so if tax dollars don’t pay them to be full time activists. They will have to get a job doing work someone actually values, which could give them a whole new perspective on things.

I’m sure it is. In my experience, there hasn’t been an issue with that. Maybe a different generation, or different type of work, or even just different demographic here in Cali.
They are often hired and promoted first because the corporations need to offset whiteness.

Equal protection under the law will always be a winning issue. That’s part of why Groypers and other forms of Hitler and Nazi idolizing is so toxic. It only helps the left win, and it does so in a number of ways.
It’s also a really weird bunch of characters. I still can’t get over that clip I saw of a bunch of dudes who would have been camp-bound in cattle cars listening to Heil Hitler in a Miami club with some hot hookers they weren’t even grinding up on.
Clubs were actually a ton of fun before smartphones were ubiquitous. Maybe they still are. I wouldn’t know since it’s been 10 years or more since I’ve been to one. Just nice restaurants and an occasional dive bar visit for me these days.

Plain old equal protection under the law is what I’m talking about. Freedom of speech, too. Core American values would be another way to describe it. Constitution and Bill of Rights, basically.
DEI and the broader woke Democratic Socialist movement only became winning issues by a combination of massive taxpayer funding for academics and activists, the importation of new voters with public money, and states like Maine that enable them to vote. Plus outright election fraud like what I suspect happened in 2020.
Without all that public money, a lot of it just goes away on its own. Then we can get back to debating about things like universal healthcare, military funding, and so on.
The entire hard left turn of the last 10 years has been totally inorganic. A self funded psyop we did on ourselves. Heck, even my local newspaper would be bankrupt by now without government contracts.
You’d still have things like npr that maybe stay afloat with private donations, plus whatever part of the movement that’s actually organic, but wokeism as we know it completely crashes and burns without being propped up by the taxpayer.
It won’t happen instantly of course, but that’s the only direction I can see us heading in as long as we have a free and open internet.
The socialist movement would have to come totally mask off if they regain the federal government. We might actually get proper fascism, either from the woke left or possibly as a reactionary political movement to them. Probably a war, too.

Sure, but the hardcore left is still a pretty small group of people, all things considered. A huge portion of that movement are people with little to no understanding of politics, civics, history, economics, ideology, etc. Just people who will latch on to whatever seems popular, like many women are hard-wired to do. Woke was made to seem a LOT more popular than it ever really was. If people actually liked it, it wouldn’t have been necessary to shove it down the publics throat.
They also aren’t particularly intelligent when it comes to their actual leadership. It attracts a lot of midwits. Think 100-120 IQ people, maybe with narrow specialties like ICU nursing, but hardly geniuses. Their lawyers are probably the cleverest of the bunch, and they will always be a problem.
Meanwhile, you have people like DataRepublican making them look like complete clowns on a near-daily basis because they pissed her off and now she’s made it her mission to stop them after being a successful software engineer. It wasn’t hard for her once she started poking around.
All of the fraud scams in Maine have been hidden in plain sight, and now people know where to look for them and The Maine Wire is crushing the legacy news on actual social media engagement metrics. With a very tiny staff, to boot.
Useful people who know how to do stuff will always have an inherent advantage when they turn their attention to political analysis and communication compared to lifetime taxpayer leeches who work at nonprofits or in social science academia. Becoming an expert in leftist gibberish is only useful if you force other people to pay you for it, and it is only useful for making more people fluent in leftist gibberish. It doesn’t actually create value in the world, which is a very big disadvantage in the long run, especially if the public agrees to turn of the funding for about two dozen separate fields of woke academic study.

One of the great parts about living in an actual free society is that you’re free to be as racist as you want to be in your own life, as communist as you want to be, start a UFO sex cult, live as the Amish do, or all kinds of stuff like that.
If you think employees should all earn 100k per year, you can start an ESOP business and attempt to run it with those operating costs. If you want to be a communist within your own family, as most Americans are, you can be if you decide to help your adult child out with money when he really needs it, even though he could have not blown all that cash on a trip to Florida, front-row seats to the Bruins, or any of the other reckless purchases 20-somethings can be prone to making.
It won’t be tomorrow and it probably won’t be next year, but I think we’ll reach a point of narrative collapse that a lot of formerly woke people will simply pretend they didn’t have anything to do with it and just go on with their lives. Sort of like the KKK in the 1920’s. In Indiana, they went from something like 300,000 dues-paying members to around 6,000 in the span of about two years. All it took was facts being made public revealing the massive scam operation and corruption taking place under the ideological guise of 1920’s anti-immigrant rhetoric, which is very different from today’s so-called “anti-immigrant” rhetoric. Most of today’s objection is due to importing welfare recipients as a new voting bloc, not the idea of immigration itself when it isn’t tied to public benefits and, it turns out, staggering levels of medical billing fraud clearly allowed to happen by the ruling party.
