Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 2)

That certainly seems probable, which makes it all the sadder that war was forced when it was. Allowing the States to go their own ways was definitely legal, and that would not have destroyed the concept of the voluntary union or States’ Rights. Of course, that is the reason the war WAS forced at the time.

No reason to do so when all-out war to prevent it is the precedent. I loved seeing hardcore anti-Confederates support Brexit a few years ago.

You can contemplate the alternate history timeline, but we can never know how it actually plays out. Maybe far fewer dead, or maybe a Marxist revolution takes place in The North, achieving Marxism decades before the Bolsheviks. There’s no way to know, but The South was always at an inherent disadvantage, shackled as it was by Democratic Party dominance.

The Democratic Party is the world’s oldest political party, and the only constant idea they have had is con artistry. There’s always a way that you can talk people into the idea that one group is deserving of another group’s property and productivity. They’ve broken from their tradition of race-based rhetoric and policy to now include “identity”-based rhetoric and policy.

As we’re now learning, they’ve also been backing the KKK since the incredibly talented cavalry officer Nathan Bedford Forrest organized it shortly after the Civil War’s conclusion.
