Good.
But isn’t this literally the same 10 point agreement we saw a few days ago that wasn’t tolerable?
Oil has dropped 14%. If this ends it all and things go back to “normal”. I’ll tip my hat and admit I was wrong.

“In a stunning act of defiance, Iran steals missiles from Arleigh Burke class destroyer, detonates them in its own face.” .
I mean, really now, how is it that he has chickened out? By turning Irans proxies (Houthis) into chipped ham? By destroying their nuclear program? Annhialating their navy? Establishing complete control over air space?
Beautiful tacos though.
Full confession, those are tofu tacos.
You sonofa…
You’re just saying that to hurt me!!!
I mean, they have texture! The sauce is sticking to them!
It can’t be.
We can hate fuck later. The future of the free world is at stake here.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!
Predicated on false premise…
Oh shit! My PWI switch is broken!
I can’t shut it off!!!
So Iran is still standing. Do you count this truce as a victory for Iran or US?
It also seems China affected to that truce more than US, also Israel does not seem to agree with the truce yet.
It can be both at this point. Nobody wants to be continuously bombed by the United States, and the United States doesn’t want to continuously bomb other people.
The jury is still out on how it all plays out over the short, mid, and long-term, but at this moment in time we have yet another example of Trump hysteria being overblown. It isn’t World War 3 at this point, nor does it seem to be another generational occupation of foreign soil. One of the best ways to know you aren’t living in a fascist land is when you can criticize the government as much as you want, and the USA passes that test with flying colors.
I mean . . . we kinda do. There’s a reason we’re really good at it.
Not really. Not like we did in World War II.
That was amateur hour compared to what we can do now.
True.
I guess nobody does. USA has been very warlike for decades though.
But here’s two good questions:
Who benefits opening the strait? Everybody, including China.
What USA has achieved with the war so far? I dunno.
Expanding a bit on this, we certainly have used bomber diplomacy quite extensively over my lifetime, and I think we should bomb fewer people whenever possible. But sometimes you need to use force to do the right thing, and it isn’t always clear what the right thing is when you have the ability to kidnap socialist dictators and wipe out the Mullahs without using nukes.
WWII was definitely not amateur hour at all. That was the USA mobilizing for war, which we haven’t done since.
But there’s a good question: what USA has achieved with the war so far?
Severely handicapped a totalitarian regime that is just as bad as Hitler, at minimum. All with a loss of life that is miniscule compared to what was spent on stopping the German National Socialist regime.

But the regime stays in power. It might have been hurt, but it’s still standing.
Iran’s gov. sees USA as their main threat and they’ve been trying to do nuclear weapons for years now. Does USA seem less as a threat them now? Will they stop their nuclear program?
Do you count this truce as a victory for Iran or US?
No. I read that Oman and Iran will be charging tolls for ships to pass through the strait during the cease fire. That’s a big L for the U.S. if true.
