Yeah, the boomers sure enacted a whole lot of terrible public policy. We can agree on this.

You still sound like a leftist to me. I have no idea what ā€œtill up the landā€ means in political terms, just as we had no real idea of what ā€œDEIā€ or ā€œOur Democracyā€ actually meant until they enacted their bat-shit crazy social justice policies.

It isn’t clicking with me because you are only speaking in vague euphemisms, kind of like a communist.

Objectively, wrt Jews (I agree with @Njord’s tribalism description) I think one fact needs to be acknowledged -6 million jews dead in the Holocaust, 15 million jews today; that is a massive number percentage wise.

If the Japs had done that to the Chinese wrt percentages, we’d be talking 100s of millions dead.

The Germans have very impressive achievements in mass slaughter, but I still believe that The Mongols (from Asia, BTW) were the best killers in all of history.

Wrath of Khan?…

I saw it way back in the 80’s when I was really young, but I never got into Star Trek.

A Hardcore History Podcast called ā€œWrath of The Khansā€ was my first deep dive into the Mongols.

I grokked it. Number was 15.8 million.

The search results/sources used are listed by grok if interested.

If one lives in CA or NY/TriState area, would probably think that.

As an old college roommate said to me half-jokingly, jews like to live near a body of water so that there’s an avenue of escape…

Being from ny state I always assumed there were a lot more jews. Then I moved to the south and nope.

I live in the most diverse county in America, and I know one Jewish family here.

Now do the Bolsheviks on Christians.

The holocaust happened and was terrible, but I don’t get why it is CONSTANTLY slammed in our face over every other atrocity the world has seen.

Constantly leaning on that as a crutch to garner sympathy for those that were not even alive and did not experience it is old.

This is akin to how slavery is used as a political / power move weapon.

People are tired of it.

I certainly share your Holocaust fatigue, but I’m not sure it’s slammed in our face any more than slavery(slavery in the seceding States in the Antebellum period, specifically…slavery in other countries-especially those run by melanin-rich folks-and in States that did not secede is not nearly as terrible).

lol at Andrew parroting his generations rants about Jews and Boomers.

This generation love to cry and play victim to Boomers.

Not that Boomers aren’t stupid, every generation has their fair share.

Lewiston is getting attention from some national outlets and accounts lately over the increasing ridiculousness of Maine Democrats.

I’ve spoken to the councilor featured in this clip at length. He’s very characteristic of ā€œnormalā€ Maine Democrats, who do their best to appear sensible and not woke, but consistently vote with Democratic Socialist positions. Aside from randos on the internet, nobody is being racist about their objections to Osman, but of course that’s how Democrats characterize anyone who thinks he should resign.

We’re also doing the meme ā€œI am the mayor nowā€ from the same meeting. I don’t think that’s what his overarching message was, but it was hard to understand. He may have been drunk.
