Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 1)

Unpack that a little for us.

Like, how will he do that? Use as much detail as possible.

One of the things I’m most enjoying about Trump’s victory is everyone jumping right back into speaking in vague political gypsy curses.

I’m looking forward to four more years of ominous warnings from cackling old ladies about emboldened unnamed white supremacists, futures sold and squandered, the ghost of Adolf Hitler embodying itself, and English grammar casting spells of suicide on children.

It’s in the handbook they all get when elected. Governing is a for profit exercise.

Let’s all take a minute to share our best wishes for all of the principled, altruistic and morally uncompromised people who must now depart the United States of America.

Hopefully the countries that Robert DeNiro, Whoopi Goldberg and Mark Cuban flee to won’t ignore their accumulated policy wisdom.

Undercut and weaken the EPA leading to large increases in pollution now being allowed, and/or not having the ability/resources to hold polluters accountable. Appointing SCOTUS judges who also have an anti-enviro lean looking to roll back regulation and side with industry over the environment.

Tax cut that are intended to feel good in the moment with no hope of paying them off. Along with tariffs causing trade wars forcing more govt subsidies, further increasing debt.

Foreign policy platform of appeasement to Russia and dprk, and signaling to China we aren’t standing strongly behind Taiwan. Generally pivoting away from SE Asia despite please for help from phillipenes, Vietnam, etc. Leading to potential world war, Japanese militarization, Korean conflict, or China owning the superconductor industry.

Just a few things he has already done, or I fear he may cause.

Oh. So they aren’t real? Things he might do?
 interesting.

How do you pay off a tax cut?

Like, which side of the books are you on?

The only people who might see a deficit from a tax cut are on the other side of it than me. I’m the tax payer. Tax cut means I get to keep more.

Unless prices go up somewhere else. If they want you to keep more, it’s because they want you to spend more.

1/3 are real, happened last time he was in office, and will get worse this time around. 2/3 are either things he said he will do, or are logical conclusions to his stated intentions.

I’m aware you just care about how much money you get to take home today. Fuck the future, screw being smart with money. Get it on credit, and don’t worry how to pay it back woohoo! Our society despises delayed gratification, and it shows in who we elect and the policies we support.

The correct phrase for bringing something under control is rein in, not reign in . Rein in is an allusion to pulling on the reins of a horse in order to exercise more control. Easy, there.

Oh. I get it now. My goof.

I had to rein myself in from gloating yesterday when it became obvious that a majority of Americans were going to reject this current clown show administration.

Does anyone here understand the difference between an actual track record and a bunch of hand wringing, insecure projections?

(yes, I agree every administration will continue to inflate and overspend)

You clearly have no fucking idea who you are addressing.

Also, never explained how you pay off a tax cut. :man_shrugging:t2:.

I’d even settle with a short list of people that ever got rich off of a tax cut.

I’ll give you a hint. Its zero.

Because you cant add no matter how little one subtracts.

He lectures pompously to a man who lived cash only until the housing market crashed and it was a storm of the century time to buy one at historically low interest rates.

Trump won Starr county, the most Hispanic county in the entire US.

Put that in your wringing hands and play with it, you elitist preaching libtards.

What was extreme the first time? Ending wars or negotiating peace with N. Korea? Was it the extremely strong economy?

Another gross miscalculation: Underestimating the strength of the values of Latin Americans.

Turns out they aren’t just a bunch of poor little brown people, and their Faith & Family core is more closely aligned with conservatives than a bunch of condescending leftists.

They’re in for a surprise.

Spare us with your usual I’m so above all this BS. Please.

I’m not above it; you get a better view when you’re at eye level.

Some, sure. If they stormed in for a free ride.

Even against Hillary in 2016 the left was Shocked! at the lack of support.

This time was no different.
