Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 1)

I hadn’t seen this during the conversation, but ran into it browsing youtube.

I doubt we’ll see or hear much about it through regular news channels.

^^ Explains a lot…

And yes, the first thing I did after seeing that graph was to check, and make sure that the Pew Research Center was not some right wing biased group.

Saw that posted on X a few hours ago. Most all comments say the same thing -only one guy rich enough…

Nah. I’m sure there are a few around. Some people believe that acts of charity should be done anonymously though, otherwise it isn’t really charity, its self aggrandizement.

I searched Pew for that. I think it’s fake. You can’t find it, you can’t reverse image search it without just getting a circle jerk on X.

If it actually happened/happens. Trump has been known to fib on occation.

For the people that don’t like him, it wouldn’t matter if it was 100 times that.

Drexel and JP Morgan did that in 1877, too.

The robber barons loved this country too.

This chart (assuming it’s true) only talks about the readers, not the posters.

The only thing you can really glean is that democrats consume news from more sources. It doesn’t mean that X’s content is more balanced. It just means that democrats are also reading it. It also suggests that republicans aren’t exposed to as broad a set of opinions.

Here’s something from Pew. Both democrats and republicans saying the content leans significantly more conservative: X users’ views of politics, experiences on the site differ by party | Pew Research Center

Yeah, I’m sure there is a Carnegie library somewhere near by for us all.

This was a great nation for them. They cracked the code of their day. Like Bezos or Musk today. Everybody has their bones to pick with the US, but only from the safety of their homes and amazing devices.

I haven’t seen the same types of philanthropy today, but I’m fairly neutral about that time. Really good things and really bad things all depending on where you look.

Renaissance in Florence has a similar kind of contrast. Arts, education, music, and a significant homeless population and horrible working conditions.

Really was more pointing out parallels than making a judgement on it.

Yeah, I get that. I was doing similarly.

I think the US is already really well off in most regards. There aren’t many ways we’re lacking as a nation that doesn’t have a really bad reason behind it.

Aforementioned really bad reason. I think she just wanted to taste “Inflection Point” and smart sounding words roll off her tongue so badly that she completely missed how ghoulish that sounds.

Epic trolling.

He is mashing all of the buttons!!!

It’s so easy… The TDSers are so eager to jump on anything it’s beyond hilarious.

(I grokked that Pew graph, it was from mid 2024, so maybe things have changed.)

Trump pushing Tulips, Wall Street meekly following suit:

It gets even better.

Bill Clinton once called the White House movie theater the ‘best perk’ of the job. It was destroyed this week | CNN https://share.google/Gar6dreIWA2e5imPF

I find it really hard to believe that he thinks the movie theater was the best perk.
