I haven’t done a deep dive into Freitas, but I’ve liked what I’ve seen so far. He looks like a pretty complete political package to me. Veteran, family man, able to explain himself very well and able to offer meaningful criticism of the left that resonates with people younger than I am.

I used to subscribe to The Nation over 20 years ago. As of 7:37 EST on 9/12/2025, DataRepublican (small r) just ratio’d them on their own page.

Trump was removed from a list of some kind, after his falling out with Epstein.
Was it a list of people Epstein was cool with, and Trump was kicked off?
Or was it a list of people who were incriminated, and Epstein removed Trump to protect him for some reason?

One of the most bizarre things I’ve seen on social media in recent years is the feverish attempts to paint Charlie Kirk’s assassin as some combination of conservative, MAGA, Christian, fascist, racist who killed Charlie Kirk for not being MAGA enough. All the usual local suspects are in on this, local Democratic Socialist tax-funded nonprofiteers, blackgirlinmaine, our local Marxist historian from the UK, and, of course, fucking reddit.
Today we learned that the assassin has a male-to-female transgender partner/roommate, who is cooperating with the investigation.
The sane Democrats or at least the ones who still need to win elections seem to be distancing themselves from the rhetoric. Our Mayor even made a statement bravely stating that shooting people in the neck is bad.
Whatever they flooded the internet with has worked, too. Even Grok on X had a headline this morning saying Charlie Kirk was assassinated by a conservative.
The problem is every official news report with law enforcement sources is saying the exact opposite. By all indication, this dude completely believed that Charlie Kirk was a fascist and that his words were a danger that needed to be dealt with.
Hence, the writing of a stanza of the Anti-fascist claimed anthem on one of the shell casings: "O bella ciao bella ciao bella ciao ciao ciao
Suggesting he was willing to die for the fight against fascism.

Let’s not criticize them too much for failing to rally around a murderer.
Nobody’s expecting anyone who isn’t crazy to defend the killer at this point. It’s the ongoing denial of reality that’s the story. Dems using their antifa henchmen to play dirty is nothing new, they always lie about nearly everything.
For nearly a decade, the mainstream media, national Democrats including Biden and Harris, plus local Democrats in my neck of the woods have made “fighting fascism” not just a part of their campaigns and rhetoric, but the centerpiece of it.
Now they all pretend to denounce violence. They didn’t call us fascists because they believed it was true, they called us fascists to give people permission to use violence by casting their opposition as an existential threat.
Remember this weird-ass speech?

National Gaurd to Memphis next.
State level Republican officials support the move.
Local/County level Democrats oppose the move.
One legitimate concern is that jail in Memphis is currently overflowing. Apparently the Tennessee Highway Patrol sent a bunch of Troopers into town and arrested lots of criminals. Hundreds of suspects are stuck in the intake room, with nowhere else to put them.

Maybe we can help settle things down by pretending they meant “Fight” in the same way Guiliani did, and move on.
I don’t see any reason to do anything other than continue supporting Trump’s efforts to dismantle the entire Democratic Party machine by gutting its public funding sources at every level possible, along with election integrity reforms.
Just because a few of the more sensible wokesters pretend to denounce violence doesn’t change the fact that they have radicalized an army of motivated morons. People the shooter’s age have spent their whole adolescence and adult lives being told that affirming transgenderism at all times is a life or death imperative, that Republicans are racist fascists who want to “erase” trans people and that enforcing immigration law is the same as the Gestapo.
Radical leftism is as normal to them as rap/rock collaborations were to teens in the 90’s.
With any luck, the whole machine can be defunded and enough public backlash to all of the radicalism makes the ideology crumble to dust, while everyone eventually pretends that they had nothing to do with it.

And that would be different than Democrats using the govermnent to persecute Republicans, because Pres Trump is only dismantling the sources of Public Funding.
Like not using the IRS or DOJ to prosecute Dems. Using DOGE to cut off their tax payer supported funding.

Oh I think that there should be prosecutions, too, if the evidence being presented is legit regarding using intelligence agencies to manufacture fake reports about Russian collusion.

In local news, Maine conservatives are giving libs a taste of their own cancel culture. Some of these people can’t keep a lid on it and didn’t learn from the Waterville teacher who lost her job for encouraging an assassination of Trump.
