They’re a biker gang. Beer drinking is NOTHING compared to what these gangs get up to! If they’re anything like the Australian bikie gangs it’s going to be selling drugs, arms trafficking, getting involved in politics (moreso in the 80s relative to now), gambling/casinos
Australia’s Bikie gang culture is a little bit unique in that elsewhere gangs consolidated and formed large chains. For instance in America it’s largely hells angels, the outlaws, banditos and the pagans. Elsewhere bikie gangs are largely divvied up through splinter factions of American gangs (like in Europe it’s the hells angels and the bandidos)
In Australia the hells angels failed to penetrate the scene and make an impression for themselves. Hells angels are no doubt one of the most present motorcycle gangs here but they failed to get rid of independent Bikie gangs that have NOTHING to do with the bikie gangs in America.
Nowadays it’s mostly drugs they’re involved with as opposed to outright violence and feuds. The bikies control a lot of the coke and meth that comes into Australia. We have made it VERY hard to become a member of one of these organisations. Queensland went as far as to make being a member a crime. Other states like Victoria have outlawed memorabilia… can’t ride around in coordination with your gang buddies etc
Sort of like what Japan has slowly done with Yakuza membership (now there are less than 10k yakuza left). I don’t know what I think about making membership illegal… I feel like if you want to become a hells angel chances are you want to engage in heinous criminal activity
I like the idea of reopening Alcatraz. We could get some good prison break movies out of it.
There are certainly more practical ways of housing criminals, but this isn’t about practicality.

Mike Waltz is “out” as Security Advisor, and nominated as ambassador to the UN. Considering Pres Trump’s disdain fir the UN, this seems like a pretty big demotion.
Anyway, what happened? Was Waltz purposely trying to be some kind of whistle blower? Was he some fooled into adding the reporter to the group chat? Or sabotaged in some way?

Trump had his picture taken with Epstein along with nearly every other who’s who of NYC over the years. They both got around the social scene for a long time. Trump is on record as banning him from Mar a Lago long before Epstein’s activities became publicly known.
I haven’t seen any evidence or behavior to indicate he might’ve been diddling kids on Epstein’s island.
Trump vaguely teased an “earth shattering” announcement in the coming days, stating only that it wasn’t about trade. I’m hoping he will announce something good and not something bad, like a fascist would announce.
For a local update, it is time to change the 7 Days Since The Last Shooting sign in Lewiston, where we had a drive-by last night. I heard the four pops around 9pm when I was taking out the trash, but they were far enough from where that I wasn’t positive they were gunshots. No injuries, but someone’s home has a new hole in it.
I also watched the school board meeting with a presentation for how they are going to “reimagine” how to control children in classrooms with a 3 year timeline to implement. It sounded like a software salesman who tells you their software will solve all of your problems and also wants you to join their rainbows and unicorns cult.
Don’t take my word for how bonkers the situation is in Maine’s public schools. Here’s what our superintendent made clear yesterday.
“If you put your hands on a kid to take them out of the class because they’re disruptive, it turns on a lot of mechanisms, not just from documentation but follow-up meetings, and things of that nature. And the rules of Chapter 33 are very specific in what you can and cannot do. Grabbing on to a child to pull them out of a classroom because they’re being disruptive is not allowable.”
The overwhelming majority of disciplinary issues at Lewiston Public Schools take place inside the classroom. It’s total chaos with these ideologues in charge.
Expelling the trouble-makers would crater the attendance at the district and likely impact funding tremendously. It’s the ONLY thing that you can do when the problem is so out-of-hand, but concepts like Social and Emotional Learning coupled with ideas like Restorative Justice means the teachers and students who are there to do learning have EVERYONE’s learning disrupted, sometimes for the entire day.

No, I don’t identify as that.
I’m not a scumbag so I’m not going to creep on women in the gym’s locker room. I lift barbells in my basement and kettlebells on my lawn for starters, and even if I still went to the gym there would be no need for me to enter the women’s locker room to creep on any of the women there. That’s what the mirrors in the lifting area are for.
It is totally my human right to get naked in front of women and girls in Maine though. They just tried to get that in the Maine Constitution. For now it is merely enshrined by state law.

I think you’re missing the point.
Lets be real, its not men that are predominantly enabling these fetishes, its women.
I dont want to be a creep or to deprive women of their hard earned results in whatever sports leagues they are engaged in.
But I want them to stop being so fucking retarded with the shit they support. Until that time, they should get EXACTLY what they vote for.
I do not believe they will learn until they suffer the consequences of their votes.
(I hold the same policy for californians, btw)

I hope you at least have the compassion to be naked when lifting kettlebells on your lawn. I’m pretty sure not doing so, while male-part-having women have to endure nudity in female locker rooms, would make you a bigot.
I think getting torched by dudes in sports is going to be enough to get them to come around. I mean, look at the picture above. That’s the fastest girl in Maine right now, according to the government of Maine.
Polling-wise, it is already a settled issue in Maine. I’ll keep my weapon sheathed for now. If voter ID, which also polls well, somehow fails in November, I think I’ll be checking out of Maine for good. That will be a signal of deep and continued entrenchment, and more of the same worsening conditions.
Here’s our Secretary of State’s slimy wording of the ballot measure. She’s also running for governor and will be in charge of overseeing her own election.
“Do you want to change Maine election laws to eliminate two days of absentee voting, prohibit requests for absentee ballots by phone or family members, end ongoing absentee voter status for seniors and people with disabilities, ban prepaid postage on absentee ballot return envelopes, limit the number of drop boxes, require voters to show certain photo ID before voting, and make other changes to our elections?”
