It was just exceedingly uncommon to be trans. The Indians/south Asian countries referred to them as Hirjas.
The narrative transgenderism is somehow new is categorically false. Hirjas sometimes went as far as to self amputate…
There is a whole spiritual element behind it and the way they were perceived back in the day (although still subject to persecution) was not quite as bad as perhaps the way homosexuals have been historically persecuted
There was something unique about ambiguous presentation (gender wise)
Nowadays a lot of Hirjas are pushed into sex work. They live in their own communities. In India Hirjas are and have been recognized as a third gender for well over one thousand years and very little attention has been drawn to it.
They even have their own religious doctrine… it is fascinating… I don’t believe in a third gender, though that’s generally not what Hirjas are legally classified as… they’re biologically male (or female but usually male) and are legally considered hernaphrodites. Given the rarity of being hirja, some ACTUSLLY are born with ambiguous or undefined genitalia and wind up in the community because they aren’t men but they aren’t women (think like Caster Semenya subtype).
In these countries I should add there is no effort to make these peoole a protected class… no putting them up on pedestals…. No DEI type policy… but society adknowledges they do exist, they have their own community… look up Hirja

Actually that’s all very narrow anecdotal stuff and it is akshually a load of horseshit. Of course a lot of people have existed in history, and a lot of those people had some strange ideas about themselves and the world around them. Cults of all kinds have been present in society, and today’s cult of Socialism including transgenderism is no different.
The legal enshrinement of transgenderism is totally new. The idea that I have the right to get naked in the women’s locker room at my local gym is totally new. The idea that public schools should teach this as scientific fact is new. The idea that people who don’t go along with it are hateful bigots is new.

But I adknowledge there is like 1 in 30,000 that are legit. It’s a psychiatric condition (gender dysphoria)… it is described in the DSM and has been outlined as such since the 70s in the DSM

If gender dysphoria is a psychiatric condition likely driven through genetic factors + how those genes interact with your environment are you of the belief this issue is only a facet of modernity?

I believe homosexuality is also part genetic…. Why? I have a genetic disease called Ehlers Danlos syndrome. Autism is rare right? Well in EDS some 50% or more have autism and adhd (often a combo of both)… and legitimate autism/adhd but it’s always the high functioning subtype

LGBT… and for some reason EDS has a huge correlation with lgbt… I couldn’t join the support groups because 60% of them must have been lgbt and maybe 5-10% were trans… but like actually getting gender reassignment level trans. Mind you eds is 90% women in terms of who is diagnosed… really fucking awful disease to have I’ve had like 20 operations now.. I have had major, major, major surgery… biggest incision is 10-15 inches. I need like 5-7 more operations ocer the next year or two and the condition is degenerative. I knew my grandfather died at 49 and his brother at like 34… now I know it was related to this condition
But I went to an EDS expert physician recently and asked “so… what the fuck? Why these people so fucking gay?”

For instance the prevalence of habing any eds subtype is 1 in 5-10,000… although ever since eds became trendy in TikTok there are a lot of illness fakers/people thinking they have it when they don’t… if you have EDS you’ll know something isn’t right from adolescence onwards. Life is just that much harder/more exhausting… and I was super into combat sports and powerlifting for about a decade which must have been the worst possible thing I could have done
I deadlifted 500lbs at 155-160 (with a disease that leads to you having fucked up, compromised tissue, impaired energy metabolism and mitochondrial dysfunction) I’ve been told what I did was extremely impressive for EDS… but look at the damage that has been done
But besides the point… 1 in 5-10k right? Pretty rare
Well a study was done on trans individuals… it was found 3% of all patients at gender reaffirming clinics had EDS… another study found a 113 fold incidence of gender dysphoria in EDS patients
And for lgb you’ll find it’s like 30-40 fold… for autism something like 100 fold
It’s said uo to 5% of autistic people might have eds and up to 10-20% of all autistic people meet the criteria for EDS’s milder cousin hypermobility spectrum disorder (likely the same condition but with less penetrance)
So if this is just a cult thing… for EDS why has this association with LGBT ALWAYS been present
Eds is passed on through reproduction and it pisses me the fuck off when symptomatic mothers who have struggled for a lifetime (and can’t keep up with a toddler let alone take care of one) decide to squeeze out a baby to feel more in control of their life… only for the pregnancy to wreck them permenantly (disabled my moms sister and my mother almost died leading to my c section birth three months premature).
On top of that my fetus had a critical lack of nutrients delivered to the placenta. My twin brother completely healthy and me? I’m fucked…
But the association between eds and trans is what got me to rethink the narrative you are telling. I believed what you did last year… now I’m looking at it and I STRONGLY believe genetics are involved…. Genetics or genetic predisposition coupled with interaction with your environment

The other peoole in my family who clearly have EDS… 3 out of 6 are on the lgbt spectrum and one went as far as to identify as they/them and get all bitchy “I’m not a GIRL!” If you dare referred to her as female

I understand the angle you’re getting at, but you are mistaking the essence of my argument. You’re talking to a guy who grew up in the 1980’s, when transgender hair metal bands were wildly popular.
What we’re dealing with locally is not some latent human tendency, it is a social contagion that has been recently introduced and pushed on society in rather profound ways, seemingly with our own tax dollars.
There’s nothing “organic” about transgenderism in Maine. It is an idea that has to be promoted and propped up.
It’s the incorporation into public policy that is new.
Imagine the suffering when yet another woman hears about it in high school through word of mouth and wants to see if she came tame the beast and you have to be like “HEY!!! My eyes are up HERE!”
It’s really, really hard to say at this point who had something to do with Epstein’s darker side. He did have connections to so many important figures.

Even if Trump did some shitty things in his past, like most people have, a good chunk of his supporters believe in an idea called “forgiveness”. I’m reasonably sure approximately 90 percent of Trump voters are aware that Trump has sinned in the past at least sixty percent of the time he’s accused of something bad.

My understanding of the Executive Branch’s authority over immigration policy was the number one reason why I voted for Trump. His executive actions immediately validated my vote, and continue to.
So I actually happen to indirectly know someone who hates Donald Trump (through my father) because Donald Trump engaged in some very shady business practices with him and essentially stole/swindled this individual out of millions of dollars that he was owed by Trump… what Donald Trump directly did to this person wasn’t just shady… but felonious… When he tried to sue Donald Trump made sure this individual was in no place to be compensated though I don’t want to dox this person in case any details of this are public. There was contractual obligations Donald Trump refused to pull through on and for this reason this person I know has a really bad case of TDS… but can you blame him?
I am not lying about this… From what I know (through word of mouth mind you) Donald Trump is probably not a great person.
There is no excuse for what I’m talking about here… and this isn’t an example of someone doing a bad thing… this is a person doing something unfathomably slimy/shocking and when I see people defending Donald Trump as a PERSON I tend to think of this example because this is an example where I explicitly know he did something unforgivable.
There has been several cases where Trump has been pretty ruthless in his actions. So I’m not surprised if this is true.
I personally see him as a efficient but not very trusworthy guy, but this is not my battle.
I personally see that some immigration is a necessity for a functional and democratic society. There is really no country (besides N-Korea maybe), where immigration is close to zero.
But of course immigration is not a black and white question. And while I’m not profoundly anti-immigration, there’s no realistic option not to restrict and regulate immigration at some level. Completely free movement across countries would interfere the idea of welfare state and would not benefit anyone.
There’s also difference between practical and ideological approach. Practicalist could ask how does immigration affect country’s economic situation, safety etc, and how it’s most effective to deal with. And there’s difference between work based and humanitarian immigration.
Ideological struggle is more about universal human rights vs preserving country’s culture and demographics.

My kid attended Montello and had a great experience in the 2000’s and 2010’s. It can no longer be described as a functional institution. It is a holding center for the children of the new voting bloc that was imported first and foremost. Any education that takes place is a nice bonus.
There are a LOT of Lewiston’s in the USA, where the same basic scheme was executed that results in 2,000 students who speak no English but 42 other languages being foisted on the community.
We’re LONG past any of this being a theoretical debate about how radical woke policies will play out.
