A variety of secessionist movements are springing up around New England.
Aroostook County wants to secede from Maine to form North Maine.
I’ve seen similar ideas for every state in New England, along with a confederacy breakaway nation of New England.
I don’t think they are likely to go anywhere and it would be odd to get a 51st state with less than 100,000 residents. It would be even weirder if the core of the Union in the last civil war became the confederacy in the next.
We live in interesting times.
Meanwhile, the Democrats continue to pick real winners for their national martyrs, taking historical revisionism to a new and absurd level, just like Socialists always do.
