Sadly, no opportunities have arisen in Maine, even though the desire runs in my blood. I have a Chinese aunt and have had two different Japanese uncles.

It out unexpected pressure on the US government as many people cashed out in the face of uncertainty and put their money into bonds
This led to massively increased yields and greatly increased market volatility
This led to Donald Trump instating a 90 day pause on tarrifs (which actually did get out of hand, I understand the intended purpose but I don’t think anyone including Trump expected it to go this far)
The 90 day pause on new tarrifs witj exception of China should allow for negotiations to occur between countries with the hope markets stabilize in the meantime
If not Donald Trump may have to roll back the tarrifs or risk incurring a Great Depression era recession which would destroy his popularity amongst… well… almost everyone
After all one of the purported benefits of a Trump presidency was economic prosperity, and it can’t be spun “it was always like this” as although the economy was in bad shape… stock markets have taken a nosedive… look at the dip on S&P500…
Generally the western world follows Americas economic trends… However there is a possibility this stabilizes, as countries are investing into America, new jobs in manufacturing have been created
My problem is… to cover for the deficit of other countries saying “fuck you” and pulling out of America over this whole ordeal and as a result America starts going “America first” and manufacturing its own goods
This would take decades to eventuate, meanwhile the economy tanks…
I don’t think Donald Trump will continue with this (might have to largely roll back on it with the exception of China) if the markets fail to stabilize
But I would be panicking now… if a substantial portion of your assets are tied up in bonds and stocks I’d be scared
I wonder what this will do to gold and silver… which tend to skyrocket during times of uncertainty

In fact I think sitting in jail with no contact and only getting bread and water is what jail should be.
The problem is these ridiculous sentences for non violent acts. If one does not plea bargain nor have a decent attorney the sentences are extreme.
……..but no one cares……..F them right….. that’s the problem too.
60 days in a real jail with no contact and bread and water IS punishment. If people continue to steal or whatever, well they can get more and time like that.
No need for what’s going on now with this prison society.
Also, jail and prison should be available to the public. The public should be able to view prisoners sitting in their cage at all times, from a distance through a fence of sorts. That way, there’s no secrets behind the walls.
We’ve been told to panic about Trump for the last decade while Democrats have been enacting the most divisive and destructive policies of my lifetime.
I’ll start panicking when all of the clowns in the mainstream media, late night talk shows, and in Maines government are proven correct for a change.
That the same people who’ve lied to us relentlessly and been wrong about every prediction and analysis are panicking is a good sign to me at this moment.

One of the things that makes Maine politics so interesting to me is our low population. It is a very small world here in Maine. Media narratives don’t hold up very well, but that doesn’t stop them from trying.
Maine Democrats have turned off the comments everywhere they can. My city council just voted to turn them off on the LPDs social media, which already shares very little with the public. They switched to encrypted scanners a few years ago.
Our newspapers have been bought out by a Soros nonprofit and barely report on anything of impact. Someone needs to get seriously wounded or killed for them to even report on the rampant crime.
We literally get our local news about crime from a schizophrenic guy who monitors the unencrypted channels and then posts heavily embellished, sometimes fabricated accounts of what he thinks he heard. Then someone comes along to verify that yes, there was a gunfight, overdose, struck pedestrian, etc, or we have to file it as likely schizophrenic news.
He’s been at it for years, once characterizing a domestic argument in the parking lot as a scene from Roadhouse back when I bounced.
The whole woke political movement is looking increasingly manufactured and curated, but they keep on trying to create their narratives. It’s getting downright pathetic.
Our Secretary of State can turn off the comments, but she can’t turn off the laugh reaction.

Foreign countries selling off a bunch of US Bonds could cause the value of US dollars to “weaken” or fall, relative to other currencies. Like the exchange rates would change, and you’d get fewer Pesos or Yen per US Dollar.
That new exchange rate would make it less expensive for other countries to Import goods from the US. And that could raise demand for US goods, which would lead to more manufacturing and jobs in the US.
It’s all part of the plan to establish a New World Order based on an historic trade agreement called the “Mar A Lago Accords” that the President’s economic team is scheming on.

The same bitch moderating r/Maine2 is the one organizing the hate campaign against my barber and my friends new special needs childcare business, along with a few other locals.
