Another element regarding Trump’s authenticity that is beyond denial at this point is that his political opponents have put him on Death Ground. The danger is very real to Trump.
I think part of the absolute onslaught of information is at least partially out of self-preservation. Hopefully they get the Epstein files out soon and start prosecuting.
If I put my evil mastermind hat on, I’m less and less inclined to assassinate Trump by the day. There is already so much wind in the sails of MAGA. The window for that has passed and it would unleash a political whirlwind.

Interesting analysis in many sources that Vance deliberately provoked Zelensky to say something that upsets Trump. And if you look the clip it surely looks like it. Any ideas why Vance would laid such a trap and sabotage the deal?
Likely, it was part of the plan. Trump saw that Zelenski wasn’t ready to comply with what was necessary to stop the war. It was Vance’s task to create an opportunity to confront Zelenski to making a statement that Trump could break communication. This will give Zelenski pause to reassess his demands. He needs some time to become ready to accept less than he expected that he could demand.
Could be. Zelensky has demanded some security guarantees after the peace. Might it be that European countries would be willing for the job? I think this quote from Guardian sums it up:

Trump can abandon Ukraine without endangering American security. Europe can’t and therefore has a stake in Ukraine’s security. Both Ukraine and Europe now have a Trump problem. They should turn it into an opportunity for defense cooperation.
Zelenski walked into the oval office as a guest and started talking shit on Putin, asking what we could do for them, showing pictures to the camera (which Trump then took and covered), and wanted to talk licensing of their drones.
He was using our diplomatic effort and offices as a platform to launch a media attack on his enemy. That is ultimately disrespectful.

I’m not any kind of politician, but I can tell you, Vance nor Trump owe him any explanation of another presidents actions.

At 22:59, Zelenski shows his hand. He isn’t there to talk cease fire. He’s there to talk weapons, aide, and security, but not cease fire. The whole time, Trump is talking about cease fire, and Zelenski drops that ton of shit.
I feel pretty certain that if Zelenski comes correctly- which is to say with respect for the office, the people in it, and the ultimate goal of cease fire/return to peace process, Trump will move forward.
Trump is dying to show some benevolence. If there’s any thing I know about people it is that when somebody wants to do something nice, let them.
According to this interview with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, today’s shit show marks the THIRD time Zelensky has avoided signing an agreement. Sounds like this shit show might’ve been Little Z’s idea of a “plan” all along, imo.
