This is about what I expected the outcome of this to be. You don’t talked to like that by someone else publicly and retain a position of authority.
Why do you think that when Trump and Vance have both said they their plans for peace involve Ukraine giving land to Russia? Why do you think abandoning Ukraine isn’t on the table when Trump has more than once said he wants to?
Zelensky is obviously stupid and too full of himself.
If you have a business agreement with the US, and the US has US personnel there, implicitly, by default that is a guarantee…idiot.

Why would we be ok with Russia controlling Ukraine? We have an opportunity to get mineral rights or whatever. It would better if Russia had access to them?
Russia already controls most of the four regions they formally annexed in 2022. That land is not being given up and nobody can force Russia to without expanding the war. Russia won’t control all of Ukraine, but they will keep the parts they have taken.
This article says that 40% of those minerals are in Ukrainian lands Russia currently occupies. Trump will only have access to the remaining 60%, because no successful peace deal will involve Russia giving those territories up.
Trump has made it clear that he doesn’t care to keep helping Ukraine.

Z’s literally an actor who has been being told he is great for a long time now. I can’t say how good of a leader he was for Ukraine, but color me unsurprised that an actor has the arrogance to arrive at The White House looking like that.
Kind of like the Munich conference, what I see as good leadership and appropriate rhetoric, Trump critics see as an international disaster.
We all get to learn together what kind of order follows from it, in the Trump/Musk timeline where progressives are the ones cheering for the meat grinder to continue.

Thats not the right attitude. He also appears to want the whole enchilada including security guarantees without acknowledging that the first step is to agree to a cease fire.

Ukraine would be better served to have someone who understands diplomacy negotiating on Zelensky’s behalf. Although I think all three sides have an idea how it will end. Russia will get some territorial gains to look like winners. But Russia will still suck as a nation. Ukraine will continue to exist and will have security guarantees. And we will get some mineral rights.
