Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 1)

Obsession? Kamala Harris campaigned on Democratic Socialism, all while calling herself a Democrat. What do you think the concept of “equity” means? That is not a fringe issue, it is a foundational issue.

Democratic Socialism is the prevailing ideology in Maine. That’s a fact, not rhetoric. Our policies prove it.

Socialism is at the heart of the division, as it introduces ideas incompatible with American governance. Perhaps it is you who should become more interested in what is actually taking place.

LOL in what world would Russia simply give up the land it has occupied and fortified. What you are talking about is an unconditional surrender.

Socialists, which you may not identify as but clearly are highly receptive to and completely okay with, remain mired in abstract thinking, never able to take their eyes off of an idealized outcome that is impossible to achieve in reality.

All a byproduct of dialectical materialism.

It’s a loose analogy, but this is more like breaking up a bar fight where one asshole has the keys to another asshole’s car, and doesn’t want to give it up.

I could risk my own wellbeing to beat him into a pulp over it and take back the keys, or negotiate the release of the keys through dialogue.

If history’s taught us anything, it is that international agreements aren’t well-respected. At all.

Sadly so. It’s one of the reasons I think we’re all fucked. Hahah.

Ahh and now that the arguments have run dry we have to resort to the ad hominem

It’s amazing a beta like you can put on any muscle at all with all the bending over for Russian man meat you do, your estrogen must stay high (see how bad that looks ?)

If it was based on any evidence it might have hurt.

But I don’t mind putting on muscle anyway I can

I’ll let the reading public decide how much merit your previous argument had :person_shrugging:

You’re all gay. Case closed.

But you’re not negotiating the return of the car keys, your breaking up the fight and letting the guy drive off in your friends car to go bang his wife

I am not looking for affirmation on any of my comments. They are simply contributing how I think and feel. Sometimes it is good to throw a little weight on the other side of the boat.

Shut up whitey.

I kinda hoped this time would be different.

I was a kid in 90s. I had these inconsient assumptions that democracy will grow it’s influence around the globe, wealth will increase and global co-operation and free economy will bring peace.

Oh, how wrong and naive I was. If I would need to bet for humanity and how well we learn from our mistakes, I would spare my coin.

It’s going to be. Socialism is a slain dragon in the USA and states like Maine will be dragged along one way or another.

We will demonstrate how it is done for the rest of the world, no matter what political label the corrupt vampire economies manifest under.

The team is now in place. My 2nd favorite nominee, behind the indescribably enchanting Tulsi Gabbard, has been confirmed.

KASH PATEL IS IN!!!

Buckle up guys, there’s going to be a lot to get out heads around.

Europe slew socialism already. Good luck with China.

Sorry, but I don’t share your optimism. I think this goes beyond socialism, capitalism or any isms. People slaying each other over isms is actually a part of it.

When I look at the bigger picture and try to pull together all the information I have from this world, I get really cynical about our future as humans.

It certainly does go beyond ideology, but you never get too far away from it, as it shapes everything that happens in the realm of geopolitics.

We are all witnessing the difference in real time.

LOL.

Now that’s a good one.

Watch the TIK video I linked above for an academic rebuttal of your statement.

Let me guess, that’s not REAL socialism.

Trump admits that Russia invaded Ukraine because of the threat they would join NATO.

"“He is the first, and so far, in my opinion, the only Western leader who has publicly and loudly said that one of the root causes of the Ukrainian situation was the impudent line of the previous administration [of former U.S. President Joe Biden] to draw Ukraine into NATO,” Lavrov said, echoing a long-term Kremlin narrative about the reasons for its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

“No Western leaders had ever said that, but he had said it several times. This is already a signal that he understands our position.”"

Russia rejoices as Trump goes full Kremlin – POLITICO

This is what I said since the beginning of the war. The threat of Ukraine joining NATO is the modern Cuban Missile Crisis, and it’s why Russia invaded. Thank God the person in charge is demonstrating both common sense and empathy towards the other party. He may stop Europe from dragging us once again into a world war. This time there would have been no survivors.

Whoever was running Biden’s teleprompter knew exactly what Russia more or less HAD to do in that situation. For Putin not to invade is to invite further encroachment on Russia’s security. Even old-school leftists who know their Noam Chomsky will point out that the USA has been encircling Russia for quite some time now.

Let’s also consider the possibility that there was, in fact, a long term deep state goal of bringing all of Russia under “our” control. Our actions over the decades sure support that notion. If there was, and Putin understood this, and so does Trump, all of these actions could actually be signaling an end to the encroachment and a new era of stable borders and more trade.

Don’t forget, Biden was the one who said a minor incursion would be okay. Whether that was a Biden moment that wasn’t supposed to come out or an actual US foreign policy statement remains up for speculation.

What’s less up for speculation by the hour is just how absolutely bonkers all of the corruption is, and just how compromised the government of the USA has been for decades now.

We are living in the twilight zone.

Back here in Maine, my city council president just informed me that it isn’t the city council’s purview to offer any comment on the political terrorism taking place in his city.

Commenting on Gaza, however, is of particular importance to the people of Lewiston. That’s the Democratic Socialist difference.

I’m glad someone else understands. I know why Europeans, especially people like @SepCalla who seems to be Finnish, hate Russia. But the way the United States was handling this situation, by treating Putin like Hitler and refusing to listen to the Russian position, was guaranteed to make the war escalate to a third world war.

Maybe Putin really does want to conquer the entirety of Eastern Europe and revive the Soviet Union or Russian Empire. In truth, I don’t give a damn if he does. But everything Russia is doing seems to be characterised by restraint and almost passivity. Even pro-Russian people were saying Putin was acting far too passively in his handling of the Ukraine war. But he’s a boogeyman for modern Europeans who still remember the Soviet Union and are afraid of a strong Russian leader.

I’m looking ahead to 2026 midterm elections. Traditionally, the party in power always loses ground because the masses are hard to please, and at this point the probabilities favor the Dems regaining the House just based on precedent; but if DOGE actually puts money in people’s pockets…

Good point, and this could secure a YOOOGE four years.
