TRT Through Insurance vs Out of Pocket

Hey guys,

I don’t get on here very much. But I do come her whee when I have questions I need answered. I told a dr. I’m my passed that I took many cycles of AAS. Now, my T is low. Can I get TRT at a subsidized cost through my health insurance?

Will that work, or do I need to pay for it out of pocket? Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!

If T is low, then it doesn’t matter how you got low-T, your insurance will pay for it. Getting good treatment protocols using a doctor under insurance, that’s another story.

That’ll depend on where you live and who your insurance provider is

When it comes to buying the T itself (or any other prescription medicine), always first check Goodrx.com. 80% of the time they are cheaper than my paid insurance drug plan.

Need nurses and doctors who will fight for the right medicines. Mine have had my back with my insurance company.

You have to fight for you unfortunately.

I’ve been on Testosterone for 8+ years, and most of that time it’s been covered by insurance. Last year, my T prescription was covered 100%. This year, I have had to pay $10 for 4 weeks of T.

At that rate youre gonna be paying 100 percent within 10 years. Better save up.

I’m not sure how to even use “goodrx” w/ out a prescription. Can I even use it w/ out a script? Can someone guide me? Can you?! Or can you not get scripted meds on that site/app?

It went up one year. Not every year.

You still have to have a prescription from a doctor, it just doesn’t go through your insurance. Instead of the “discounted” rate negotiated by your insurance you get the discounted rate negotiated by GoodRx with the pharmaceutical companies.

Nope. Still need the Rx

Try mexico. I heard it’s legal to buy test there without a prescription.

Interestingly enough, the stuff is not being abused over the border. Restrict its use and people OD on the stuff
