TRT Not Working

@matias21cabrera

Why dont you just try to get your freeT into the midrange/high normal levels of men your age. If you dont improve then there is a high likelyhood that your low T is not the root cuase of your problems.

With SHBG levels of 15 you need to get to rougly 500 TT to achive a freeT of 15. This would bring to the 20% of men age 20 to 25. To get to 500 you would only need a total weekly dose of around 70, maybe split up into 2 or 3 injections.

Wait for the results of the blood draw and act according to T and E2 levels.

I think you missed the point…

I tend to agree to @dbossa here. if you had total t of around 1070 and you did not feel anything, its worth to take it higher for a few weeks to see if you will feel any improvements. If you feel nothing after giving the protocol certain time to work, the logic is you need more, not less! Do not let SHBG or other numbers scare you if you do not feel adverse side effects. Do not be scared by numbers. Your levels should be where you feel optimal! Go by the symptoms, they are most important

Labcorp free t labs read like that also, with around 8 pg/ml being the low 25 for the high.

It’s a typo on the units text from what I’ve been reading. The ranges and values are in the same unit, just the wrong unit is displayed so that has caused some confusion for some people

Do you think i could need 300mg/week or sth? Since 200 isnt doing much

I was like you, large infrequent injections made my a non-responder to TRT, everytime I would move from weekly → twice weekly → EOD → daily injections, each time made TRT more effective. The reason is not so much having low SHBG as it is that I’m just very sensitive to functuations between injections.

Men with natural testosterone who are healthy don’t see a deviation in testosterone by as much as you’ll see in men injecting large infrequent weekly doses, if your levels drop considerably over the course of days versus within a 24 hour period, this can make TRT less effective.

You may not want to inject more frequently, but at this point you have little choice if you want to feel good because what you’re doing isn’t working.

You should be concerned with your levels are, not just your dosages. That’s the first mistake people make about TRT thinking more testosterone is the answer when not feeling good. You dose isn’t the problem, I believe your injection frequency is the problem.

I cannot answer you such question.
I think nobody here can. I think you need to go to a really experienced TRT doctor and he tells you what to do

Question, how do I inject daily?
Do I draw a larger quantity and then inject daily? Or draw every day?

The point of injecting daily is to inject a smaller amount to minimize the conversion of FT->E2 or even DHT and to reduce fluctuations and keep steadier levels. An example is if you are currently injecting 100mg weekly and levels are good, you might want to decrease the total weekly dosage a little and inject daily, for instance 12mg daily which would be 84mg total weekly dosage.

I find a need a considerably lower total weekly dosage when injecting daily, it’s extremely low compared with my previous EOD protocol.

I meant how to inject in the way of the srynge and that stuff, I have just tried to draw the ester to the srynge and it was impossible with an insulin one, how should i do?

Can I draw the testosterone to the syringe with a 21g needle and draw 1ml lets say and then change to a 29 needle and inject 0,1ml per day? Or is it bad to leave the testosterone in the syringe? Thank you

Depending on the carrier oil drawing can be difficult. The cypionate in Central America will not draw into an insulin pin, I have to back fill after drawing with a 23 ga pin. It’s pretty easy to do there are Youtube videos on back filling syringes if you need to see it. They are usually guys back filling B12 shots. That aside, I wouldn’t bother. Every 3.5 days is more than sufficient for almost everyone. 200 mg every 2 weeks put you at 250 total test. I don’t believe 200 mg a week is putting you at 1071 at trough. It is not that plausible. That’s a huge swing. It’s a long thread, so I may be confusing a post here, correct me if I’m wrong. 200 mg split twice a week should get it, if it doesn’t, don’t be afraid to try a bigger number. 250 mg is at the high end, but not unheard of. If you have to go to every day injections you should consider that you have other untreated issues to discover. Systemlord certainly has no end of them.

Dude, you are overcomplicating things. Do you know what your through T level is at 200 mg per week? No. So stick with that protocol for at least 4 weeks and measure T and E2 at trough. Only then think about adjusting something.

You have to allow about 30 seconds for the syrine to load, it’s not going to fill up immediately like some of those larger mini harpoons.

Depends on the carrier oil. It’s not all the same as the US.

Ok so I have my bloodtest results:
So after two months 200mg each 2 weeks and one month of 200mg/week injections my TT is 445ng/dl and my free testosterone 10,2pg/ml
My levels before trt were 404ng/dl and 10,8pg/ml.
Most of my symptoms havent changed (mental, ed, fatigue) and the only thing I feel is bigger and stronger biceps.
Why could it be that is not working?

Just wait, you’re not there yet. Do labs in 3 weeks, and adjust the dose up if it’s still not getting it.

@matias21cabrera
How are you injecting? IM or sub-q and with what size needle/syringe? Where are you injecting the testosterone on your body?

And were those labs peak or trough or what?
