So I am in Australia and new to the whole TRT thing my endo has been managing or maybe mismanaging things for me.
Long story short I have medically Dx hypogonadism so prescribed Reandron 1000 10 weeks ago. Week 2-6 after injection I felt on top of the world mentally, libido and great erections however felt I was crashing mentally at about week 7 with low mood and low libido. Endo did not want to do bloods and I got second injection at week 8. A few days post injection and I cannot sleep past 3am, daily headaches, wake up with thumping heart, almost zero libido and no wood either in the morning or with my GF and basically no arousal with the GF either.. may as well do my tax return type of thing.
My endo says all of these symptoms are not related to TRT and I must have some other medical problem. I forced my GP to run bloods as this response from the endo shocked me.
The bloods came back and endo says there is nothing wrong. Any ideas?
You look a little dry (hydration) on your labs. I assume T values are high as labs were checked after 8 week shot? Otherwise, too much isn’t always a good thing.
I feel TRT is a game of reality vs expectations: we all think, at least on some
level (whether we want to or not), we’ll instantly be walking erections bulging with muscle when we start testosterone.
The reality is, responses are quite varied and often opposite what we expect out of the gate. I went through similar ups and downs the first 6 months. No insomnia or such but libido certainly.
Thanks heaps for your response. Yes my bloods done after receiving the 8 week injection. I have decided to (once my levels drop) go onto a 3 injection weekly regime to reduce these fluctuations. I can see on here that seems to be the consensus that smaller and frequent doses are preferred?
I do 2 injections per week with test cypionate but many report doing just as fine on once weekly. I did once weekly for a month. Zero difference. I’ve missed doses. Zero difference.
I think many start to…interpret (or put emphasis on) ANYTHING and EVERYTHING they feel once they start TRT. It becomes a subjective nightmare where any eye twitch MUST be a sign of hormonal imperfection that requires exhaustive searches for answers.
I can’t speak from experience regarding daily. It seems to be a lot of majoring in the minors for the 99%, maybe necessary for 1%. Or less.
