15 years ago (I was 23) I went on a 9 week cycle of sustenon 250 and andriol. I did a stupid amount (kept thinking how good I felt) and gained a rediculous amount of muscel mass and strength quickly. Everyone knew, and I had to stop. Never picked it up again.
Now, I’m 38 and for about the past year I’ve been growing more and more tired, irritable, unmotivated, forgetful, and lazy. Additionally, my libido is starting is decreasing. I can still perform, but I’m no where near where I used to be. I don’t even think about it as much. I’ve been going to the gym, but it I’m sore for days no matter what. Even my cardio is suffering.
I have a feeling my T is low, and so I’ve made an appointment with a local Internalist. The office does do TRT.
Here’s the question: How do I tell them that I know a little bit about this (i.e. HCG, AI, and Self-Injection) and not come across as someone wantting an AAS cycle? I really do NOT want to go into the office weekly for a pin stick. I don’t have time for that. If after my labs, I qualify, I just want the pins, and the RX’s and I can handle myself until the next lab-work.
Also, if anyone is in the Central Ohio area. Does anyone have anything to say about Buckeye PMR? http://buckeyepmrlowt.com/
I’ve read some pretty bad reviews and BBB complaints, but they seem to get it. They’re one of those HRT clinics that charge $200/mo and dropship you the meds and pins.
So, yes, I want a physician to check me out to determine if it’s needed, but I want to handle the administration myself.
Any thoughts?
You need to contact Dr. Rob Kominiarek, he’s in Springboro Ohio and is extremely knowledgeable and affordable. This guy can tell you what’s wrong with you before your labs are even drawn.
Dr. Rob can get you squared away fast.
Look I thought I could do this myself too and it’s not as easy as it sounds, you will eventually run into problems and you will need someone to help you.
You can find Dr Rob on YouTube.

Thanks, I’ll give him a call today.
Quick question: Anyone have an example of costs with Kominiarek?
I can’t seem to find anything on his website that mentions costs. I’ve watched one of the youtube videos (panel) where he mentions you should be willing to pay 10k on health a year, and that many of his patietns are around 3500/yr. That’s almost 300/mo. I mean, I get that it’s quality, but… that seems excessive I have a good job, not yet 6-figures, but getting closer each year, I’m not willing to dump that much cash into it. 200 was a stretch, but seemed somewhat reasonable when you consider costs of labs/consults/etc on top of meds.
I don’t want to sound like a cheap-ass, but I don’t like overpaying for things as a principal.
The higher cost is for all his services, TRT only is cheaper.
So, I saw the internist and got labs. They didn’t even draw estradiol or cholesterol. Only cbc and testosterone total. However TT was 267. She then said I can inject myself 200mg BIWEEKLY. At that point I was sure she had no idea how complex HRT really is. BUT, I felt like crap and was anxious to start treatment. I got the script same day and injected the 200mg. Now, it could be placebo affect, but I swear I felt better within 4 hours. But I also suspect I was chronically low for at least a year. So maybe that’s why I felt it. T
That being said, I’m following up with an actual HRT clinic to get the full shaving (better labs, hcg, ai if needed). T from physician only cost 40 bucks a vial, but I’d rather pay 175 and not get all @$!#ed up. I’m sending them the labs I have, and he already said I’ll qualify, they just need the labs I’m missing and a physical.
Crazy thing was physician wanted two test me 2wks after my first inj… like wtf did she think my T was gonna be? It’d probably be even lower tHan initially.
Starting you with 400mg a week? That’s going to put you at supraphysiological levels.
No. Every 2 weeks. So 200mg, then 14 days later another 200mg.
OK, so injections are bimonthly then, I assume cypionate. You’re not going to like that, by the end of the second week your levels will be low. The every two week dosing schedule is according to Endocrine Society guidelines which have been proven to be less than ideal due to the half life of cypionate or enanthate.
Sometimes, you get what you pay for. If I were you, I’d switch to 100mg weekly and that may not be ideal with you. Difficult to say what is without knowing your lab results. Regardless, no one doing this remotely correctly injects any less frequently than one a week.

You really need to test your SHBG, than a protocol can be designed. SHBG will dictate injection frequency.
This doctor has no clue that she’s in over her head, the endocrine society’s guidelines are decades outdated. One injection every two weeks is what they were doing in the clinical trials, TRT protocols have improved since that time.
Thanks, guys.
I’m also going to get in touch with Defy Medical.
taking a shot in the dark (no pun intended) but i’m thinking once you’ve been low so long the receptors maybe up-regulate becoming more sensitive to the testosterone influx. Thus feeling an initial bump from it.
It’s not placebo. Your body started separating the esters from the testosterone and hitting your neglected androgen receptors. You may have had low estradiol as well and experienced an increase in estradiol as well which was probably much needed. I agree that for now you should inject 100 mg a week and drop this 200 mg every 2 week losing protocol. You can thank us later. Seek better health care in the mean time.
Yeah, I def plan on weekly. Don’t know if 100 is enough yet, but we’ll see.
I felt great days 1-3, and I still feel good. But it also feels like some of the mental fatigue and irritability is coming back now at the end of the 3rd day. It’s not possible that I’ve matabolized this out because of cardio is it? Or is this just my body getting used to it?
It doesn’t work like that, we are injecting many more times the testosterone than we produce naturally in a weeks time. Your SHBG will determine how long you hold onto your testosterone and everybody metabolizes testosterone at a different rate. It’s one reason why these ranges mean nothing in relation to you, these ranges are everyone grouped together.
100 a week will put you somewhere in the 600 range…
Thanks guys. I figured activity wouldn’t affect it, but I didn’t know the role of shbg. I don’t know mine yet, will get those extra labs soon from the clinic.
I appriciate all of your help here.
I’m just so happy the T seems to be working. I had turned into such a whiney, angry, jerk. For the first time in a long time I can maintain a conversatile with someone and not have to fight back the urge to scream.
