TRT Injection spots

Hey guys,
30 y/o male new to the forum and on my 3rd month of trt. Got tested and found my levels were super low so I jumped on trt nation and feel great. My reason for the post is to get some insight on where you guys inject. Before this i have never injected anything before. I(with my wife’s help) have been injecting twice weekly into the upper glute alternating from right to left. After these months my ass is starting to get sore.

I watch videos and read as much as I can find about other spots. I tried the thigh but man did it hurt!!! The needle barely would go in. Then I tried the shoulder, not too painful but again it was super hard to penetrate. It was like trying to stick a needle in my tire. The videos I watch, the guys make it look so easy and pain free. What am I missing?

What size needle do you use?
I use 27ga x 1/2" in delts and quads.
25ga x 1" in glutes

I have learned that relaxing the target muscle before injecting can help a lot. For example, place your shoulder up on a high counter or shelf or up against a wall while injecting. or, leaning away (placing weight on opposite foot) from the glute while injecting. It makes the muscle easier to puncture and inject. You could always try sub q as well.
I also use 27G 1/2 inch needles

Marry a nurse. That’s what I did until I went to sub q. Kept the marriage, since I was already over two decades in to the relationship.

I only pin quads and have for 4 years once a week.

25g x1” in quads

Jam that shit in there, and pull back before plunging. I still psych myself out sometimes and count to three about 4 times like a dork.

Gonna start doing glutes for my primo schedule next month , as I’ve built up some scar tissue over the years but a massaging therapy gun works wonders … especially for sustanon site pain.

I do hip/glute

I use 23 gauge 1 1/2" needle. With a running start, i can usually not feel it go in. However sometimes it fights the whole way and feels like i am stabbing with a dull knife.

I have a freckle i use as a target, but the area is so scarred after 7 months that i have moved back an inch. The scar tissue makes it tougher to go in.

I used to use both sides but my left hand is not as deft.

I go subq. Super easy, no help needed, no scar tissue buildup and I’ve never hit a nerve.

I’ve only been injecting for 14 weeks, but noticed if I preload the syringe and get the air out the night before, it’s way more painful and “sticky” feeling going in. Is it possible cyp is corrosive at all and making the needle rough at a microscopic level?

I rotate quads with a 27g 1” and draw with a 20g.

Most of the time I hardly feel it

BD ultra-fine 30G 1/2" needle in delts and ventroglutes. BD thin wall design fills faster at 30G than lesser needles at 28-29G.

Most people use larger needles than they need and accumulate scar tissue for no reason.

Interesting, will try this. I thought I was using 25g but I’m actually using 23g in quads

No pain no gain. I want to touch my bones

Yikes! 23ga for glute only IMO

That’s what I have always used ! Will definitely ask my pharmacy to supply smaller pins next time.

I’ve always been scared to pin my glutes. Guess I’ll give it a shot no pun especially when the primo starts

Why don’t you just order what you want online?

Insurance covers it. Used to order from gpz back in the day

Is it worth it though is your not getting what you want? Needles and syringes are super cheap.

For sure :+1: I’ll ask them and see if they will change it
