TRT for 19 Year Old

Three months ago:

LH: 1.9 (2.0-10.00)
FSH: 5.4 (1.5-13.0)
Testosterone: 11.0 (12-32)
TSH: 7.72 (0.40-4.00)
T3: 5.4 (2.5-6.0)
T4: 15.2 (8-22)

(I was using low doses of T3 before this 12.5mcg a day for about 4 weeks i don’t think this dose causes any suppression of T.S.H. Then the doctor diagnosed me with hashimoto’s hypothyroidism and put me on 100mcg of T4. because i had extreme high amounts of thyroid peroxadase antibodies)

Now in these 3 months i’ve been feeling pretty tired, run down and have experience unexplained rapid weight gain of 10kgs, i also can see that i’ve lost muscle.

So i went to see my GP and had these retested and also did estradiol because i had all the symptoms of it being high, hard nipples(lumps underneath), female pattern fat distrubtion, very emotional, night sweats middle of the night.

Current results:

(While on a Prescribed 100mcg of T4 daily)

LH: <0.5 (2.0-10.00)
FSH: <0.5 (1.5-13.0)
Testosterone: 9.5 (12-32)
Estradiol: 310 (<160)

TSH: 2.25 (0.40-4.00)
T3: 2.7 (2.5-6.0)
T4: 12 (8-22)

LH and FSH are non existant and estradiol through the roof, and thyroid has gone down.

Im in a massive dilemma if i should keep taking this thyroid medication or not i don’t know its making me gain weight or if i stop it weight gain will become even worse?

The whole Cortisol/Thyroid thing is very confusing

Like the day to day changes i’m experiencing are disturbing.

For example my weight has gone up 2kgs from yesterday same time in the morning ok this could be glycogen etc BUT I feel more bloated, and feel like i carrying ALOT more weight and have a moonface! Feeling terrible to say the least.

Anyway theirs no point in me complaining here lol i gotta see a doc asap and will let u guys know when i get my results.

Its all good, your helping me out, it gets me thinking as well.

This could be understandable if i was on 500mg of test per week or something like that then the aromatization would explain the massive E and symptoms.

Can High E cause High Cortisol though?

I have letrozole but don’t think it would be wise to use it as i want to get a clean blood test (from what i’m producing naturally), but if me E is this high it certainly isn’t good to just let it be.

No i’ve never had any tuberculosis.

Thanks for that, you’re very knowledgeable Bushy good to talk to someone like you.

I gotta go now though ill update as soon as i get the results.

rapid weight gain, particularly of the trunk and face with “sparing of the limbs” (central obesity), a round face often referred to as a "moon face.

This is happening to me central obesity while my arms, shoulders and legs seem thinner. Also i’ve noticed my traps have grown like humps or something. I’m definitly depressed, no libido, a lot more acne and facial hair then usual also acne on my chest and back, huge bags under my eyes a lot more then normal. I seem to get headaches where my pituitary gland is located (middle of my head). Insane water retention, fatigue and bad muscle weakness.

I know what cushings is, my mum had it well she had highly elevated cortisol way above normal and all the symptoms of cushings but then got it under control with medication and now things are normal and she’s not on any medication.

Today i felt like i couldnt breathe very well shortness of breathe and if i had taken my thyroid medication this morning i would’ve had a heart attack honestly so i know the thyroid isnt helping and whenever i take it especially a full dose at once i get heart palpitations not to mention it negatively effecting my muscles so its basically working against me completely their is no point in using it.

Im getting some tests done tomorrow with my GP as this needs urgent attention. Im still waiting on my appointment with a new endo since my current one will be gone until september :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey What would be a good way to use letrozole to combat the high E in a tapering fashion to avoid estrogen rebound?

I don’t have any letro at the moment though just need some info how i should run it after collecting all my blood work, but maybe armidex would be the better option to avoid rebound or a suicide inhibitor to prevent any estrogen receptor changes.

I asked my GP about armidex when he saw my high e levels and he said “its only used for breast cancer” which i pretty much knew he would say he has no clue for its other uses.

Also bushy what’s your take on IGF LR3? I believe this is something i could use in the near future as it won’t cause HPTA suppression through any negative feedback mechanisms like standard AAS.

Do you have any personal experience with IGF, and do you think its a useful compound?

Hey man, I just read through your thread. Don’t have much to add except I’ve been reading a lot of adrenal/pituitary related issues lately (for various reasons), and its some fucked up shit. Lay the pressure on the doc, you’re life will probably improve tenfold if you can get your HPTA and everything under control.

Yeah man i’m going to be tough with all docs from now on. The whole adrenal/pituitary issue certainly is fucked up to say the least, especially if your trying to be a bodybuilder it will make you or break you so you need to have a well functioning endocrine system.

Im just doing all these tests and gathering in them up in the mean time. I have found an excellent endo/anti-aging specialist who is very open minded and ready to try new things and listen to his patients, so once i get all these tests together i’m seeing him.

This is the specialist i found he’s been highly recommended:

Also found Genova Diagnostics they have an unbelieveable comprehensive analysis of male/female hormones, nutritional intake, thyroid levels etc and from your results they provide you with treatment options.

Good man, hope he’s a good one.

Your right, in bodybuilding it will certainly ruin you, but, (I almost wanna say more importantly…but I love BBing to much haha) it can really take a dump on your life which you obviously know. Sorry man, stay and good luck.

You on any natural/herbal type supps to self treat in the mean time?

Rhodiola/hydrcortisone/Vit. C/Sea Salt…any of that kind of stuff?

Not on anything at the moment besides fish oil I just want to get clean blood work.

Ive ordered a couple of things to help me though: Reset A.D which is a adrenal support formula containing adrenal glandulars the best on the market,

5HTP which increases serotonin in the brain to help me sleep better and not wake up at night.

Vitamin C about 2g a day to control cortisol levels.
Digestive Enzymes with HCL for better digestion.
ICE - BCAA’s/Glutamine Powder

I’ve also ordered Bromocriptine and Metaformin both have a lot of positive benefits but i’m not going to use them until i get this sorted out because they will alter my blood work.

I’ve heard about Reset…is it bovine adrenal?

ICE BCAAs are tasty, I like wildberry lemonade (I know…off topic but they do taste good, which is rare for BCAA powder).

You know anything about Rhodiola? Its an adaptogen (sp?).

Reset A.D contains Panothanic Acid, Bovine Adrenal,
Schizandra, Licorice Root and Pregnenolone.

Yeah i read ICE tastes the best so i gave it a go value for money as well, even though plain BCAA’s powder is cheap i can’t drink the stuff its torture.

Rhodiola is used for adrenal support, depression, improving mood ive read up on it but i’m not sure how well it works.

I just recommended it because I’ve heard from more than a few people than it gives them a nice little mental boost. I suppose its hard to gauge how well such a thing works, but thought I’d suggest it.
