TRT Doctor Needed in Dallas-Fort Worth Area

New member here. I’ve taken Mike’s advise and scheduled an appointment with Kaner Med Group. I’ll keep y’all posted.

Full disclosure: I am a clinician and I manage many TRT patients.

You guys are 100% on the right track in expecting a provider to utilize hCG and anastrozole when appropriate. What reasons are you being given for their reluctance to treat?

Ok, met with P.A., K. E. @ the Kaner Med Group in Bedford.
This guy is GREAT. Very knowledgeable. No bs or preaching.
I brought a testosterone lab from 10/2013, it was 295, as evidence of my low T.
We talked for awhile, bs’d for awhile then he wrote:
tes cyp 200 wk, Anastrozole twice a week, and proper labs in 6 wks.
We discussed HCG & clomid, but I opted not to use.
Told me to simply in call for a refill.
Very professional and easy to talk to.
Highly recommend anyone in the area check him out.
I only waited 5 mins to get in.
Mike 984, cant thank you enough. I’ve been looking for a long time for someone
to properly manage my TRT.
Word of warning, construction and traffic are bad. Allow an extra 30 mins

My last doc told me testosterone reduces estrogen & causes Ca.
And only monitored my tes level.
Another prescribed me 300 mg once a month. I dropped almost 50 points.

Thanks for the info guys. I just made an appt with the PA at Kaner Med Group for this Wednesday. Hopefully I can get TRT going. I had an Endo appt, but I could not get in until July 23, so I am very glad I found this thread.

EDIT
Just got back from my appt with K.E and Kaner Med Group. He seemed very knowledgeable and put me on .1cc hcg injections 3 times a week. Plus he wrote me a script for clomid. He did not want to put me on Testosterone since I am interested in having children soon. I will do more blood work in 2 months.

That’s great. Nice to find people that know what there doing. Please let us know how your labs come out.

Newbie here on the forum / just joined

Also looking for a TRT doc in the Dallas area / specifically in the NE Dallas / Richardson / Plano area if possible. (Was just Dx’ed with low t but pcp referred me to a quack endo., so looking for a doc on my own. Will post labs, ect. in a separate forum - don’t want to hijack the thread)

Any information/pm’s would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve got an appointment with Dr. E at Kaner Medical Group this coming Tuesday. Will let everyone know how it goes.

I’d really like to see if he can attempt to find the problem before going straight for the testosterone shots, but I’m tired of feeling awful all the time and am growing a little impatient. Its negatively effecting my relationship among other things in life.

Just wanted to update everyone looking for trt treatment in the Dallas, Ft worth, grapevine, and Coppell area, Kevin Epple PA-C has left Kaner medical Group and is now in Coppell at Neighborhood Medical Care. The office is at 171 north denton tapp road in coppell, but will be moving one street over to MacArthur next month. I have been seeing him for over a year after working with a primary care doc that didn’t know what he was doing and a clinic that required me to go in once a week. He is big on frequent injections, anastrazole, and also hcg. My level was 1200 last time and he basically gave me a high five! He is a great guy that really knows what he is doing and lets you self administer.

Thank you for this info. I did some more research and determined he is in fact the man to go to here in DFW. I have an appointment with him on Saturday. Can’t wait to get on his regiment as opposed to the Low T clinic’s refining that I am on. I like what I am currently doing but the people at Low T provide zero education and act like they know nothing. This guy sounds like a real expert that is actually enthusiastic about he treatment. Will feel confident under his care.

Just went to see Kevin Epple today. Great guy, very knowledgeable. Just as a follow on to the rest of the conversation here, I would highly recommend seeing him if you’re in the DFW area.

Hi guys,

Sorry kinda forgot about this forum. The guy I went to in southlake is at Southlake Wellness. You can figure out the rest as we aren’t allowed to post names…

You can tell him Todd sent you

Scanned the thread - Can anyone get me the name of the Plano TRT doctor mentioned? I’m in McKinney, and work in Richardson, so Plano is perfect. Plus, I would rather not spend months looking and trying out doctors… would rather get on with it.

Thanks,

It is the guy with initials K E when you google integrativemedical.
thanks

I made an appointment with K.E. - He asked a few questions, they took blood. I heard back from them yesterday and said Vitamin D levels and Testosterone are low. That probably explains the periodic depression I have been feeling lately. So, I’m headed back in for a follow-up to get Test.

Kevin was great, the visit was easy, and he tests for everything. He said there are options when we go over the results in person.

I have an appointment next week with the practice where K E works. Does anybody have anything further to report? I had a PrivateMD lab report done. T is low, so I’m ready to do something about it. I’ll let you know how it goes.

First off, gig’em Aggies! I’m a 22 year old. I went and saw K E a few months ago. He was very willing to prescribe me trt based on my low free testosterone values. Very cool guy. He listened very carefully to all my concerns and didn’t try to shoo me away like all the other doctors I’ve seen because of my age. I’m holding off at the moment and am focusing on fixing my thyroid and adrenals first to see if that will improve my free test naturally. If it hasn’t improved by December from all the natural treatments I’m doing, I’ll be going back to K E to begin trt. I’ll think you’ll be very happy with him. Let me know how your appointment goes.
