I have an interesting question. I have had anxiety for many years. Taken lexapro since 2007 which completely helped my anxiety. However the last 6 months I’ve had severe anxiety return worse than it has ever been. I’m on 100mg testosterone weekly 50mg twice weekly. Just wanted to rule out if testosterone replacement can cause this or things to test for in labs. I have gotten on and off testosterone replacement a few times not because of this and the anxiety is still there.
can it yes…does it in your case…nobody he will know based on the info provided. you have a history of anxiety for which you take a mostly useless drug. my bet is that it is not T but your underlying not fixed condition plus the fucking SSRI making it worse.
Well the ssri lexapro helped me tremendously for 17 years then stopped working. I am not on a newer medication called Trintellix. I am hoping this one works since lexapro popped out. I just was curious if TRT could be an underlying cause. Plus I’ve had a pattern of getting on and off it. So maybe that triggered it or not sure if TRT increases cortisol.
i was dealing with anxiety for a decade. not anymore. if anything T makes it better by far. unless you overdose massively (for me 250mg+) but then it because of e2 not T. drugs will never make it better. long story don’t want to go into this here, do some research and some very deep digging
