Hi guys.
I was on TRT for 2 years and then I had to stop because I had to have surgery and remove half of my thyroid due to a nodule.
Surgery went well, all my hormonal levels are ok regarding my age but I want to get back on TRT.
All doctors say that TRT does not afect the values of the Thyroid Hormone (TSH) because Test and TSH work on different channels, but when i’m on TRT my TSH is super low… and when i’m not the levels are normal! So, what I need your help for is: it seems TRT affects TSH levels, right? completly normal.
Having only half of my thyroid is it ok to still continue with TRT? What hormonal levels should I check when getting my blood tests done?
It’s not standard practice to castrate natty men before surgery, so it’s completely unnecessary to stop TRT for surgery.
Testosterone, TRT, isn’t a drug, it’s a natural hormone in every living creature on Earth.
You shouldn’t be treated any different on TRT than a man with natty hormones.
I had to stop TRT because my TSH leves were very low and they associated it with defective thyroid and wanted to take it all out. So i stopped TRT, TSH got back to normal and they removed only half the thyroid!
