That’s just not even cool cause you can’t really make fun of him for putting his feet in the air when he’s telling out 365. Shit!

oh man you dont even know how many times ive gotten into an argument over whether or not Nascar is a sport. it is so NOT A SPORT! Its driving a fucking car! Am I competing in a sport every time I drive to the grocery store? I dont think so. Oh man I’d rather watch soccer, baseball, table tennis… fuck I might even watch that whole 11 hour wimbleton tennis match from the other before I’d watch NASCAR… I might even watch a WNBA Game… Ok well I wont go that far

I understand what you are saying, I was just picking with Akuma. But… it is a sport as much as golf, bowling, table tennis or yacht sailing. So, just to sum up my points…
…it is a sport. ![]()

I would say that golf is a sport but all the rest of those activities are not sports ![]()

We should have a T-Nation party in Hillcrest…Who is with me!?
^^hahahaha Ummmm maybe not in Hillcrest?
but if it was in Hillcrest what would be your recommended destination?
.greg.
hahaha I have only been there once but we started at Mo’s which was a lot of fun and then headed across to the street to like Fiesta Cantina or something like that but this is the part of the night where my memory started to fade. Either way, if you ever go down to hillcrest, make sure you go with a lot of girls who will let you play with their boobs all night, otherwise it will be hard to have fun (if you are straight)
And both places had cheap beers all night on a friday.
I lifted at the World Gym when I was in SD last winter. Gina Allioti was training there. Booya.
Add to these if you can, but for me to consider something a sport, it must meet BOTH of these criteria:
If it doesn’t meet #2, its just a skill. This does not mean its not Competetive, Difficult or Unathletic. But not a sport.
Sports:
Football,
Baseball,
Basketball,
Hockey,
Nascar, (yes it’s a sport)
Table Tennis
Skills, not sports:
Golf,
Bowling,
Ice Skating,
most X-games,
and yes, bodybuilding

Then you Fail…
Sports require skill, you cant separate the 2. That’s the most retarded criteria list ive ever seen. Nascar and table tennis shouldnt be in the same sentence as the word “Sport” unless its preceded by “Not.” The epitome of Nascar is a FUCKING LEFT TURN. X games = are retarded. Golf is extremely difficult to be good at and deserves the title sport (not a game of chance). And Bodybuilding is probably the most difficult activity in this world to be a professional at. Its a 24/7, year long job. Come competition time, you are allowed no leeway, you must have an iron clad will, and still need the intensity to continue throwing around more weight in a gym than most people on this earth can UNRACK.
First, I didnt say that the sports do not require skill. That is your misinterpretion.
Second, “because they shouldn’t be” “or deserves too” is not a logical reason unless you are 5 years old. You listed NO criteria defining your reasoning. I encourage you to do so. I very much wish to define NASCAR as not a sport, it’s a joke, so help list some criteria that allow you to filter your reasoning accordingly. These are the best and first two I could comprise.
Third, I clearly stated above that although many things are competetive, athletic and difficult, this does not categorically qualify something as a sport. Of course bodybuilding is hard, but it’s not a sport.

x2… I have a hard time putting bodybuilding into the “sport” category but this discussion is a subjective one for sure. To each his own I guess but to me.
I have no idea how you can have table tennis is a sport. Tennis is a sport but table tennis is not.

I’ve actually been to both of those places. I went to Mo’s with my GF and her mom when she came into town. It was pretty fun (there during the day) and we hit up that Cantina place for food once on a regular night. Nothing crazy. Down the street is a place called Baja Bettys that has awesome mexican food. On the weekend they have an all you can eat buffet with endless mimosas… AWESOME!!! but EVERY TIME we’ve gone there I get hit on by the waiters and its kinda weird. The first time the waiter said “what can I get for ya babe?” and put his hand on my shoulder I didnt know what to say. hahaha you definitely cant be a homophobe and go out anywhere in hillcrest

DICTIONARY definition of Sport:
. Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.
Therefore, the entirety of BOTH your lists are sports. Whether they are retarded or not is a different story. FTR driving does not equal physical activity.
Yeah I’ve never understood why people think NASCAR is a sport? how is driving a car a sport?
.greg.
Like you showed above, the dictionary definition is too broad and still classifies some things as sports that don’t really pass the smell test, ie. nascar, table tennis, etc. Point being, we should be able to further define “sport” to pass this smell test using concrete rules.
So lets add “inherent athletic ability” as a 3rd rule, and this can help us push Nascar and table tennis further down the line, away from “sport”. I was just hesitant to add this because now we do start to get into the subjective more than a concrete answer for a true definition of sport.
Anyway, maybe its better left to the same expression that Supreme Court Justice Stewart made regarding porn: “I may not be able to define Sport (porn), but I know it when I see it.”
i gave up caring lol, w/e.

eh, only been there about a half a dozen times. cant really name my favorite dish. THey have some good food though, the only time i got perturbed at all was when i got a waffle with one of my meals, and i ordered it extra crispy, BUT it did NOT come out cripsy. The waffles are too big and cant get crispy all the way through =(
Other than that, ITS all mackadocious (my word, means I would Eat the hell out of it). And like i said, the size is fantastic.
