Good work Up. Back definitely looks more defined now than then and your lower body looks exactly the same to me which in my book is a major accomplishment considering the shape your in and that the photos are nearly two years apart.

Actually a year in November. My goal “was” to balance out. I hope that I can make progress all over now. By progress that is whatever it is :
growth, more definition, just no regress. I sure hope i can keep increasing my weight OR reps so my legs grow more. I was really pleased with yesterday! Could have got my hips closer to the bar, but whatever, the weight went up, and today I feel great!!!
I loved how the plasma doesnt make me all jittery, i felt like i could just go-n-go and then had no crash.
didnt have that burn that is usually my limiting factor with high reps either, so that was sweet.
I may not be seeing things correctly but is there a way you could sit down more and by that I mean keeping your back a little more vertical while still pushing the glutes out and keeping the depth?
I was thinking something similar gorilla I think maybe up should concentrate on trying to put her elbows in front of her chest once she hits bottom and help her be more vertical
and maybe curl your toes towards the ceiling
Thanks for the feedback. So chest more up? Trying to vision what you are both saying…

I’m probably the least squat qualified (or squatified?) to be giving any advice.
I had, & probably still might have when I eventually go back to squatting, the same issue. Also be careful with those gorgeous knees of yours when you first come up, you seem to recover by pushing them out again though a millisecond later, so not sure.
Yes, I need to remember to keep the knees pressed out, and keep lower tight. I may just be an ugly squatter ![]()
yesterdays upper

95/2
105/1
85/3x5

30 min as if i was just starting up a hill
Loha Up!
I think you look fantastic, very proportionate.
Ever try squatting bare feet? Not sure what kind of shoes you are wearing but are you slipping around inside them? Squishy bottoms? I have the best stability with no shoes.
I agree with bringing your chest up…you are sitting back far and your chest drops so I think it throws your balance.
I didnt realize you had issues with nutrition. I figured since you look so lean all the time you must be pretty darn spot on! Are you just being paranoid? ![]()

No on barefoot. Shoes are fine. I should try it out for the heck of it though… Dont feel off balance. Im sure I could work on form, but for me little changes are the best. We all cant have purty form
To be honest I am just happy to have broke free of some issues with reps and weight.
No, no nutrition issues, and I guess I see myself differently sometimes. Probably was good to do last pics, as i do look different at the same weight. So if Im guilty of anything is realizing I dont look the same body comp wise as I did at the same weight.( So I need to forget about numbers on the scale, which is probably why I dont weigh often) I am just making sure to get the right amount of fat and pro and then carbs (im able to eat a decent amount) My thought process gets stuck in the “if I cant get the big muscley legs, I might as well look lean and fit”.
I miss you logging CG ![]()

Yeah, my trainer drives me crazy telling me the same thing. Turns out all you have to do is arch, arch, arch your back and it all falls into place.
I notice your knees going wobbly. Have you tried forcing the knees apart? It really tightens the hips, gives lots of control.
BTW: looking chiseled!

x2
Regarding back angle while squatting it will be dictated by torso and limb length. Not sure about you Up but you seem to have pretty long legs, not sure about torso length. That usually means being a bit more bent over in the hole on a squat.

Bah, I don’t think you’r capable of doing anything ugly, Up. Squatting is just one of the most complicated lifts, so it’s easy to find form flaws. Fortunately, we have some guys who do a ton of squatting around us, to toss out some helpful tips.
Nice work on that 105 bench!
BTW, I’m ready for more food pics ![]()
Your squat wasn’t that ugly, that said most people can make improvements on their squats so its always a good idea to try and keep getting better.
