So what lesson you all should be learning from this is…
being “white” is the new black
calling someone a “creepy ass cracker” is perfectly acceptable
having your nails did for court is more important than being able to speak or read
if you’re dead son becomes famous, trade mark his name and make that paper
avoid everything in florida that isnt a beach, or Gatorland.
Not sure when Cracker became a curse? I mean hell Ritz Crackers, Cracker barrel, soup and Crackers. Is it really something you convict a person for if so
then Ritz owes some white dudes a lot of cash.
But the fat chick was a sad display.
Why are you denying that it is a racial slur?
Do you think it is okay to call folks Kike or WOP?
Was it meant as a Racial Slur by Martin to the chick on the phone, Sure, but would it have been worse or better if he said Motherfucker?
I don’t even care if Zimmerman called Martin a Niger, his actions are what fucked him up that night not his vocabulary.
Now back to the Cracker word, come on in the realm of “slurs” that is pretty weak. I mean call me when they have Kike or Wop Barrel stores
are you seriously taking that stance, or is that sarcasm and I missed it?
Trying to type with my phone is pissing me off…
Now to your question. What did you think I meant. I thought it was an honest answer to her question.
(had to re-type)

i was addressing the cracker comment you made with cracker barrel being a place so it cant be racist.
well, ‘cracker’ is short for ‘whip-cracker’. so when there is a ‘whip-cracker barrel’ then your point may be valid. until then, it is a racist slur to white
people.
Never heard that before, and I’m not a young guy. What is a “Whip-Cracker”?
Once again never said it wasn’t a Racial Slur. Just on the list of slurs it is a weak one.
But “whip cracker” hmmm yep that is the first I ever heard of that.
if i recall correctly, you are not white. so, as someone that isnt white, you get to decide how ‘strong’ or ‘weak’ a slur for a white person is? interesting. so as someone that isnt black i can decide how ‘strong’ or ‘weak’ ni… i think you get the point.
as far as the etiology of the term-
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/whip+cracker
now you have heard it more than once and from multiple places.
hmmm yep, i think i have proven my point.
EDIT: I am digging through my 2pac collection to find where he uses it. I can recall lyrics where he uses redneck and peckerwood (2 more slurs in case that is ‘hmmm yep that is the first I ever heard of that’ too) and I am almost positive he uses cracker as well. I am also almost positive NWA did, as well.
EDIT2: that didnt take long. from his song ‘fuck em all’:
Here come the coppers
The swat team and the helicopters
Them crackers is crazy
Why? Cause they’ll never stop us
and I am sure there are more…
The only point I get is you feel the word Cracker is a slur. YES, I agree and stated that in my FIRST, 2nd and 3rd post. So not sure what most of that was about.
I do see that you disagree with the level of offense it has in the white community and on that I have no argument. I’m not white, It’s why I posted the statement in the first place to see how can the same word used on department stores and food products be as offensive as the Other 2 slurs you added that are used against the white community. It was a question, I even posted it as a question.
And yet you feel I’m making a stand. Nope just having a conversation
Also I didn’t say I never heard of the slur CRACKER I said I never heard of WHIP CRACKER.
And up to this point never thought it had any other meaning than toasted dough. But since no one else is arguing yay or nay to if they knew of the words origin I’m guessing it was not widely known or really cared about.
