I don’t think he’s guilty of the charges, but he sure is hell guilty of being a dumbass. If you are going to start confrontations and the only recourse you have if they go sour is a gun, you’re a pussy and a moron. He obviously couldn’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag, so this was going to probably happen sooner or later when he made the wrong person angry.

Dispatchers are NOT cops, why the fuck do people keep saying this. Zimmerman’s gun was hidden under his jacket in a holster. Zimm isn’t an idiot, he was trying to help out his neighborhood and was doing that by being a watchman. I believe Zimm got out of his car cause the dispatcher said which way is he running and Zimm was trying to find out/follow him to keep track of where he went. Not hunt him down. After he stopped following he started walking toward the other street to see the address to give to cops. When he got back to the T intersection Martin was waiting for him. Fight ensues, bang!
Now, I dc what side anyone is on, I believing the damning evidence in the case is two things.
- Martin had FOUR minutes to get to his house. Those four minutes were when Zimm said he started to run. Now, Martin said he was near his house to his friend on the phone. His dad’s fiance’s house was on the OTHER side of the T intersection. I don’t know approximate yardage but that doesn’t matter, look at the pictures. So why if he was at his Dad’s house would he go all the way down to the other side, makes no sense.
2.Zimm had all the injuries. Busted nose, busted head, lacerations, etc. Martin had little cuts on his knuckles and obviously the gunshot. From this, anyone with their head screwed on straight should realize that Zimm didn’t initiate the fight. Zimm got his ass beat and wasn’t a fighter. He was a soft, non-athletic, guy. .5 to 1 in about a year of training, which was to lose weight. Come on now, the man couldn’t even throw a punch.
Now, if someone wants to have a mature debate on this I am willing, but take your emotions and bias out of it.
