Last I remember you weren’t on the jury. The same people screaming “OJ IS GUILTY!!!” are all of a sudden screaming “I trust the court systems got it right this time.” What all of a sudden they(you) are incapable of an opinion? All of a sudden you can’t speculate? I’ve heard two of Aaron Hernandez teammates siding with him, and they were heavily ridiculed. He hasn’t even went to court yet. Maybe he should rename himself Aaron Zimmerman.

That’s all it took was the reasonable possibility that Martin did that. Obviously we can’t be sure as there is not enough evidence, so if the court system is supposed to work then it played out like it is supposed to.

Someone told me while arguing about this in a barbershop, “I wish Martin was afforded the same rights as Zimmerman.”

Nice very short and to the point… What I think is being missed here is big picture vs small picture. GZ never identified who he was. From TMs stand point he didnt know who GZ was. TMs right to defend himeself went out the window once he became the winner of the altercation created by GZ’s actions. If someone was following me I’d likely react the same way at 17. Imagine someones stalking you its fight or flight and TM paid the price for his self defense.
Yes based on the law GM was defending himself in that 2 minute altercation but prior to that 2 minutes GM was responsible for creating that altercation by stalking TM. The jurrors have spoke and pretty much they were stuck with just judging that 2 minute part of the incident as it was the moment of impact. Why its so hard to see that TM feared GM was stalking him I dont get. A guy following we in the dark chasing me after I’ve done nothing wrong seems like a good reason to throw down or at least get the jump on my atacker. Black white purple or blue the reaction to someone chasing you would either be run or fight. Also lets not discount he viewed the world throgh a 17s yr olds eyes

No this is not a normal reaction. This is called a criminal action. TMs actions are not justifiable, you cannot attack someone because someone is following you. GZ was not stalking TM. At all. GZ was not breaking the law AT ALL. TM broke the law when we attacked GZ.

I have been a varsity athlete from high school to college, wrestling is one of my sports. I box when I can get to the gym. I have been in countless street fights, just for fun and because of feuds. I have confidence that if I go toe to toe with the majority of men, I will win.

If I was JUST walking home and someone was following me, I’d run. If I had some criminal intent I’d still run. Zimmerman didn’t have Martin cornered, Martin actually ran away…then he came back to confront Zimmerman because he thought he was gay.

I think white people are inherently equal to other people. You’re claiming that we are superior somehow, so I would like you to produce evidence.

Superior how? I never made such a claim, you did. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, I’m about as mixed as anyone could be.

Are you talking things like having more or less melanin in skin to deal with different sun and weather conditions? Having small skin flaps on the eyes and a small penis as an adaptation to deal with very harsh and cold conditions? You want to talk about difference in body structure? East Asians vs. Europeans? Because there are some slight differences that lead to different lifting styles and explanations when it comes to Olympic lifting, etc? Is there reason behind Louie Simmons claim that Chinese women have a stronger clean, but European women have a stronger Jerk or something? There’s always a tradeoff, someone might be better in a certain physical environment due to special adaptations, but that’s it! Otherwise we are the same.

There is no superior, they are just physical adaptations that may be beneficial in one environment, but a slight hindrance in another.

So, where are your examples of whites being superior? Your words, not mine.

But its true, and its sad. Thanks for posting it. I recall making a similar statement way back in section 1 or early section 2. People have forgotten what was said by someone as great as Martin Luther King Jr, and it should be those words that can come from any mouth, to garner respect. Severiano, why are you bringing up slavery when it was abolished a long time ago? Yes, it is a part of our nation’s history, and not a particularly good one. Do you also know that many White workers were kept in equally poor conditions and treated equally poorly as low-level labor workers in the North? There is documentation of that too.

Do you know that the last recorded slave to be alive passed away in 1970, some 40 years ago? Do you also recall that the Equal Rights movement was also about that time? That is nearly two generations removed, and the people coming here posting are not even old enough to remember (save maybe X, or if you’re over 40). Why are you drudging up the past when it doesn’t affect you? Just as it doesn’t affect me. Neither of us can change it, all we can do is move forward. In fact, many of those people alive during that time, have moved forward and see the progress that has been made.

And at the same time, the US has made many efforts to repair relationships for what was done. It has gone so far in fact, that the items I have posted about “white privilege” were done to give minorities a better chance at climbing from what oppression there was, and still may be, to the “level” the white’s are.

You are choosing to argue points that have already been covered, and are trying to make yourself a victim amongst people who (as far as I can tell) hold no ill will against anyone of any particular minority, save stupidity - but that’s not so much a minority.

3rd Ward, Sunnyside, Greenpoint are some dangerous neighborhoods that I would avoid. Every big city is going to have a “dangerous” side to it. Houston is no different. Thankfully, these areas are located where most people wouldn’t go anyway. Its not like its on the way to the Galleria or whatever. (Well except 3rd Ward. Its located near the University of Houston but from what I hear, white hipsters are gentrifying that area so who knows how it turns out in a year or 2)

As I noted with Pittsburgh, its all pockets, even neighborhoods might be ok, just certain streets, etc. And the general consensus is the day time is basically ok wherever. I won’t say the same for Chicago or Detroit anymore, but otherwise, most big cities have exactly what you described :D.

I think Chicago is retarded as fuck when it comes to city planning. Usually Ghettos are pretty small and like you said, are small pockets where people avoid anyway. However, from the crime map I’ve seen, theres a HUGE chunk of Gangland that right in the middle of the city. Theres no way to get around it. What the Hell.

Heh, I used to like going to Chicago Airport instead of Newark or JFK on my flights home… I’m considering going through Minneapolis now. Not that the airport itself is dangerous, I’ve never felt in imminent danger there, just rather avoid the area as a whole.
