For the record, I would judge someone’s HYGIENE and relate that to their potential character/nature long before “sagging jeans vs a suit”.
Another common way people are profiled. People with bad hygiene can be completely harmless just as someone with baggy pants can be completely harmless. The point is that the person with bad hygiene or baggy pants is MORE likely to steal or burglarize than the person wearing the suit.
I don’t think either are more likely to “STEAL” if you want to play semantics. Maybe more likely to burglarize. The guy in the suit may be just as likely to steal from you. If he did it though it would be your investments or bank account that suffered.
By steal I am referring to someone stealing your cell if you leave it on the table when you use the restroom at a burger king. I agree, someone in a suit is probably more likely to commit white-collar crime.

See, you just made a mistake.

You lumped “baggy pants” in with bad hygiene…which makes no logical sense.

I didn’t do that. Regardless of what the guy is wearing, I would look at HYGIENE above all else.

If you got to a night club in third ward, there will be hundreds of people in saggy pants with top of the line cologne in nice cars.
Thugs don’t wear cologne or drive nice cars.

Not true. Again, I not only recorded the trial to watch after work but there are pictures online also. There is a paved sidewalk that runs down the middle of entire backside of the townhomes. Check for yourself.
Didn’t Martin emerge from in between the sides of two homes?

I never said baggy pants and bad hygiene have any relation whatsoever.

Looks paved to me.

I know. I was just playing with semantics. Being a smart ass, if you will.

That keeps getting repeated but I don’t believe it to be true. I could be wrong though.

No. You’re think of the T-intersection.

Zimmerman sees him originally come out from the between two homes.

Oh really:

Bad hygiene OR baggy pants.

I mean, you did write that.

Thus why you look at HYGIENE.

Here.

Note above where their paths first cross (Zimmerman is still in the vehicle until (5)) at the NW. This is where he says Martin came about from between two homes. The picture you linked is the T-intersection where Zimmerman is now on foot, and the confrontation happens. It’s on the East side.

Whenever I see someone on the street, before I make any judgements based on their appearance I have to smell them to see if they showered, check to see if their nails were cut, have them open their mouth so I can I spect for plaque build up/cavities/smelly breath and HOPEFULLY see if they are wearing a fresh set of underwear.

Then and only then will I make an assumption on the type of person they are.

But they do in a way. Either of the two can be an indicator to a majority of the public that the person comes from a lower socioeconomic class. Whether this is right or wrong doesn’t matter. It is the way a majority of people see it. It also seems to be more likely that someone from a lower socioeconomic class would commit a burglary or petty theft. I may be wrong about that as well but this seems fairly logical to me. I understand why people “profile” others. It is something that is done naturally and unknowingly in many cases.

Not sure how. Look at pic. There’s no cracks between those cookie cutter townhomes. If they were single family homes with some land in between, I guess he could “emerge” from between.

Cute…or I can tell from a mile off if they washed the shirt they are wearing or take care of themselves with regards to how they look.

You see, “saggy pants” do not go hand in hand with poor hygiene in my city.

I can also tel if someone has bathed in the last week or washed their clothes without standing one foot away from them.

That’s because the actual picture is a picture of the T-intersection. Not of the perimeter residences.

Then the problem would be the person looking at being from a lower socioeconomic class as a negative.
