Trayvon Martin Pt. 2 'The Legacy'

Zimmerman was waiting for the police to arrive, he stopped following martin after the dispatcher told him not to. Zimmerman got the number of the address he was parked in front of, to give to the police at which point he got jumped returning to his vehicle.

If that was the case george’s attorneys would have objected to states witness (girl he was on phone with) that said after running and finally stopping, George finally caught up to him and “out of breath” asked what’s he doing here at which point tray asked why he was “chasing him”. Not even the defense argues that trayvon ran away from George. They used that point in argument to say tray “must” have been up to no good. No idea how people can draw conclusion that didn’t run after tray when his own lawyers didn’t object to that fact in trial during cross examination.
The defense attempted to have the witness repealed after being caught lieing under oath.

Prof: That example actually comes from a pop culture studies book I took last semester. The showed a black make in a black wife beater and jeans and asked our thoughts, then they showed the same black male in a suit and tie with glasses and asked our thoughts. Can you guess what we thought? ;)
Oh, I’m sure.

This goes back to what I wrote before…if I see a guy walking towards me in a tank top and sagging jeans, I think “I bet he has Pimp C in his rotation”.

I don’t think “THUG”.

I also don’t trust a guy in a suit.

These are cultural perceptions…so it is no doubt that the majority rules majority perception.

I did give my opinion on this case.

Is my writing too eclectic to follow?
“Should i type slower?”

“Do you want me to write that in crayon?”

I love you Professor.
Hey, I write responses and people can’t seem to follow what I write.

Plus, I have tons of crayons.
What did you just type? Im so lost.

If I take what was written in his post, I would have to make assumptions about what his opinion is. The verdict ‘stands firm’ says nothing about if he agrees with the verdict or not.

Now, reading his post I could come to the conclusion that he agrees with the verdict. But, that would be an assumption on my part.

Keep trolling strong son

Don’t you ride a motorcycle?

Look, riders aren’t supposed to be this uptight. Please return your ‘ride or die’ card if you can not tone that down.

I think this whole court room saga is worthy of a sit com. I don’t even watch the news but apparently even Precious showed up for the proceedings. Hope they had cake.

Look, I wrote all of this before…in words that apparently are way too insane to follow.

What he was tried on and the evidence provided seems to allow the verdict.

I don’t have to personally agree with it nor would I unless I had ALL info in front of me like that jury.

I didn’t.

I was a casual bystander who watches brief news bits.
I could follow your original post regarding my question.

I responded to your statement that ‘I respect the fact that you don’t wont to give your opinion’.

And, I respect your statement that you don’t want to type your opinion without all of the facts in front of you.

It’s cool man

And honestly prof, this is solely MY life experiences that bring me to this conclusion.

My gf and I were robbed at gun point by a Mexican male in a dogers hat, hoodie, shorts, white knee high socks and in a mostly white hipster area…you can bet I profile that look now.

But I did spend a lot of time in South Central growing up, fuck, my dad and I were building a church in South LA when the 90s riots broke out, and I mean the day of, as well as I had a lot of friends and met a lot of people from that area. So I actually understand that culture a lot differently than probably 1/2 the people on the board. but like I said, these are just me and my experiences bringing me to these ideals/conclusions. No offense given.

Wow…I hope life shows you not to judge books by their cover that simply before some guy in a suit kills you.
get off your high horse and stop pretending like you don’t do it.

I don’t.

Seriously.

I live in Houston and grew up around Third Ward. If I thought like you I would never leave the house due to fear.

Real talk…it is like some of you can’t even accept that others don’t think like you or need to.

For the record, I would judge someone’s HYGIENE and relate that to their potential character/nature long before “sagging jeans vs a suit”.

Another common way people are profiled. People with bad hygiene can be completely harmless just as someone with baggy pants can be completely harmless. The point is that the person with bad hygiene or baggy pants is MORE likely to steal or burglarize than the person wearing the suit.

The defense attempted to have the witness repealed after being caught lieing under oath.

Well, they should have taken defense approach and not let her speak at all like George. If so he would have to explain why he went on Hannity and said he didn’t know details of stand your ground but yet his acadamy instructor testified that George scored top of his class which included an extensive segment on the recently added law. Lol. In regards to her lying under oath, that was only in regards to her reason for not attending trays funeral. Not the conversation on phone.

Is this going to be a new thing?

I don’t think either are more likely to “STEAL” if you want to play semantics. Maybe more likely to burglarize. The guy in the suit may be just as likely to steal from you. If he did it though it would be your investments or bank account that suffered.

Lol agreed. More lives have been put in harms way or money lost by the direction of man in a suit than all the “thugs” in hoodies and baggy pants combined over the last 20 years.

A new recording was released from the night of the incident:

disclaimer- some of the language may be offensive to some

Zimmerman- “I’m getting out of the truck”
Dispatcher - “we don’t need you to do that, sir.”

some russeling- experts suspect Zimmerman put his phone in his pocket

Zimmerman- shouting “hey! Hey you”
Martin- “what do you want?”
Zimmerman- “I have a few questions about what you’re doing snooping around the bushes”
Martin- “F off you creep ass cracka”
Zimmerman- “when was the last time you showered?”
Martin- *long pause"
Zimmerman- “I said, when was your last shower?”
Martin- “I don’t know, like two days ago”
Zimmerman- “two days huh? Did you put deodorant on today?”
Martin- “seriously?”
Zimmerman- “yes, this is serious.”
Martin- “I don’t wear deodorant.”

more russeling- experts speculate this is when Zimmerman pulled his gun
Martin - GASP
Zimmerman- “I’m going to ask you one more question, this one is very important.”
Martin- “…”
Zimmerman- “how many times a day do you brush your teeth and floss?”

more long lause
Martin- “once, maybe?”
Zimmerman- “I knew it! Criminal!”

BANG

It was a neighborhood where burglaries, theft, and vandalism had become a problem.

Zimmerman didn’t recognize Martin as resident. He’s walking out from between two homes, where there is no walkway. Walking and looking around in the rain. Etc. It’s a legitimate suspicious person call. It’s fits what he’s been instructed to call the non-emergency line with.

As for following, thought this interesting. This is the same community.

"The president of the homeowner?s association for Retreat at Twin Lakes, Don O?Brien, followed.

His testimony touched on the arrest of a burglary suspect in the neighborhood. O?Brien said stucco workers at a home in the complex observed the man, which he had talked to in passing before, walking down the street. He says the workers followed the man at a distance and called police, leading to the his arrest.

When O?Mara asked him to describe the man, he said he was about 17 to 18 years old and black. “He seemed like a real nice guy, I mean he talked to us. I never would’ve thought anything of it,” he added."

Why did we need a trial? Shit, that clears up everything!

No, I don’t. I accept that he thinks he needs to see people like that.

I also noted that he seems to not understand that not everyone else does.

See, you just made a mistake.

You lumped “baggy pants” in with bad hygiene…which makes no logical sense.

I didn’t do that. Regardless of what the guy is wearing, I would look at HYGIENE above all else.

If you got to a night club in third ward, there will be hundreds of people in saggy pants with top of the line cologne in nice cars.

Zimmerman didn’t recognize Martin as resident. He’s walking out from between two homes, where there is no walkway.

Not true. Again, I not only recorded the trial to watch after work but there are pictures online also. There is a paved sidewalk that runs down the middle of entire backside of the townhomes. Check for yourself.
