I’m in a situation where it cannot be debated, at all. You either agree with the orthodoxy or keep your mouth shut.
I cant believe people cheered on a male beating up brutally a female. It was as disgusting as Talibans beating and raping Afgan women after Joe Biden fleed the country. So much about progressive thinking.
If Alana had been a biological woman - fight over.
I’ve done a bit of MMA - like 15-18 years ago. so on expert. But a keen amateur. The fight is pretty one sided. It is all Celine. Until R2; 3.27 and Alana lands a fucking bomb.
I’m not saying that a woman “could not” land that punch. But what I am saying is no woman with technique that sloppy could.
Alana is poor. Not her fault but she needs practice. Lots of it. But she still landed a haymaker. The take down there after and even the grappling is poor. Strength based. Its not skill at all. To be fair the better fighter won. But the most skilled fighter did not. So what made Alana the better fighter?
Extra strength and resistance to KO. I’d say it was the carry over from being a fella.
Now I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again and I know some people do not agree. Alana is a woman. However that does not give her the right to fight other women. She is equal to but not the same as a biological woman. And I’d question the mind set of anyone that knows that have such and advantage and still goes out there to do that.
I play rugby - I’m not bad. But I also weight train. I can do the 40 yard dash in sub 6 seconds. Not quick but I weight in at 115kg/250lb. If I see a guy that is new, or extra small - I don;t target them. I go else where. I target the big guys. What the fuck does someone want to prove by hurting / beating / besting someone obviously not as capable as them?
Validating delusions about themselves.
It is not unlike the person who takes a job as a bouncer so they can beat up on drunks who can’t defend themselves.
Yeah - its just wrong.
I never want to beat people I have an advantage over. I want to punch up - not down.
If you beat them, doesn’t it mean you had some advantage?
Fair point, unfair advantage.
But this is the problem; a trans person does not see it as unfair.
The argument goes like this:
Why do we segregate sports by birth sex?
Because males have an advantage to such a degree that females would not be able to participate in sports if they didn’t have a separate category. And we want females to have the opportunity to play sports.
So isn’t it unfair if a trans female, born a male and with those same biological advantages that created a need for females to compete separately, competes against biological females?
The trans person would respond, “I am a female.”
So it’s an argument that can never be won because you can’t respond with, “no, you’re not,” without getting canceled or whatever.
I’m not saying that trans people don’t genuinely feel like the sex they were not born as, whatever that feeling is. I won’t call them insane or mentally ill. But, that belief, feeling, or whatever else it is, and it could be something in how their brains are wired so it is real, will trump biological reality with regard to physiology and its relation to athletic performance. That simple response, “I am a female,” will win every time. That’s where we are right now.
Ah’ punching down is great for ground and pound though
You gots gravity, leverage, and the fucker can’t move.
And it knows its truth.
I’m not sure this is universal for all trans people. I think you are right in some cases.
I guess once you’ve gotten to the point where you tell the world you want to chop your dick off - you must be pretty sold on the “I’m a girl” feeling. But you are right people put feelings first. The way I’ve told people I see is “equal to but not the same as”.
Janea Croc, for example, does not go and annihilate the female divisions.
I think the difference is when pre trans, they were competitive against other men so they know that even if they now think of themselves as women, they would still be competing against “girls.” Male athletes and female athletes know the reality of biological advantage. This is why the US women soccer players want the same pay as men but if you said to them to go play with the men then, they would say no. The same with the WNBA players. It’s the trans women who were unable to compete against other men or boys that think it’s fair to now compete against biological females.
Here is my stance. As some young boys I had my time of being sexist out of frustration. I still do sexist jokes and take traditional stance in male to female relations. I am not much progressive in that part.
But I have huge respect for women now and I love sports. Chances are I may have a girl and she may do sports. I dont want her sports dream ruined by some boy/man who thinks he is a woman. I do not want a single girl or a female in general to have her dreams ruined in this way. Women deserve to play sports and compete in fair environment and hopefully create a high level entertainment, so they get paid well for that.
I think this is quite insightful. Men who decide to pretend to be women and then beat them at sports likely have some type of insecurity about their athletic ability. They never quite achieved the success that they thought they should have. Transgenderism becomes an excuse for them to explain why they could never quite make it in male sports. They pretend to be women and are instantly successful in the way that they think they always should have been.
My God. Some common sense has escaped and is running about free…
Squash it quickly…we can’t have that nonsense
Have you seen the south park episode about the trans athlete?
… bumped an old thread, my bad
