Psychology is not a traditional scientific discipline it’s a social science.

I’m just curious to know what people think about a priest castrating himself, dressing as a woman and holding sermons encouraging others to do the same. Would you say a man who has his penis and balls removed is mentally ill? Would he make a good community and spiritual leader? Would you be happy for him to teach your children?
I would say a man who posts on T-Nation about transgendered and gay people all day long may be mentally ill or at best in need of a new hobby. I would say a man who reads hate sites like Mass Resistance is probably a pretty poor person to attempt to judge the sanity of others.
Also I don’t know the man and have never spoken to him so how would I know if he would be a good community leader? How would I know if I would be happy for him to teach my children? Brian Camenker hates those who are different from him. I’d rather my children learned from someone who was not preaching hatred and irrational paranoia than from him. You have no idea how it feels to be the man in question, but you have no problem judging him and looking down on him.
I wouldn’t want my children to read the vast majority of your irrational paranoid postings. Look though you sneaked in yet another penis based post.
Have a good one. I’ve got things to do I’m getting married this week. To a female even! Shocking despite defending gay people I know.
SM suffers from what Henry Murray referred to as a “counteractive” personality type, where all the things that ARE true about him are loathed and subsequently condemned in a vociferous manner when seen in others. At the same time, all of the things he is NOT are elevated to an insanely high status as a way of embracing what he cannot actually be himself.

Those aren’t the symptoms of counteractive personality type. Murray assessed Hitler as having a counteractive personality type.
“According to Dr. Murray, the characteristics of this personality type include: holding grudges, low tolerance for criticism, excessive demands for attention, inability to express gratitude, a tendency to belittle, bully, and blame others, desire for revenge, persistence in the face of defeat, extreme self-will, self-trust, inability to take a joke, and compulsive criminality.”

Nothing particularly remarkable in that, inasmuch as a person with two X chromosomes is female.

I thought about getting a sex change and becoming a nun…
Four day camp for young boys(including toddlers) to “explore their gender identity” in a non-judgemental environment. Activities include cross dressing(including toddlers) and wearing make up.

Very true. I’ve always maintained that mental hospitals are literally filled with people of faith.
Anything can be real and true, even gods, so long as you just believe.

Couldn’t open the link, but that’s amazing. I don’t know if my Grandparents, God rest their souls, would recognize this country.

Speechless.
I think a lot of people missed this:
“The latest wins came this month, when the Office of Personnel Management announced that government-contracted health insurers could start covering the cost of gender reassignment surgeries for federal employees, retirees and their survivors, ending a 40-year prohibition. Two weeks earlier, a decades-old rule preventing Medicare from financing such procedures was overturned within the Department of Health and Human Services.”
This is really good news. But we need to do more. There are a lot of innocent people in prison who were born in the wrong bodies. Those wrong bodies did really bad things like serial killing. But once those people become eunuchs and/or start dressing as women, they’re no longer guilty. It was their old bodies that did it. We need to help get these people released.

Not really, most priests wear pants and a long sleeve shirt. Their vestments are something that came from togas or Jewish dress around the 1st century. The reason you believe it is feminine is because of modern style wear the only thing masculine is pants/slacks.

This being my point exactly.
The only reason we believe any sartorial choice feminine is because of “modern style.”
It so happens that religious vestments are “feminine” by the stylistic mores of the 21st century.
Transgender Babies: The New Civil Rights Frontier:
"As a newborn, your child?s potential is limitless. The world is full of possibilities that every person deserves to be able to explore freely…
With infant gender assignment, in a single moment your baby’s life is instantly and brutally reduced from such infinite potentials down to one concrete set of expectations and stereotypes…both intentionally through bigotry, and unintentionally through ignorance. That doctor (and the power structure behind him) plays a pivotal role in imposing those limits on helpless infants, without their consent, and without your informed consent as a parent…"
