^ yep. I’m looking forward to the clash of the Islamists vs. the Ghey Mafia.
It will be violent.
This is when liberals will finally “get it”.

I agree with the sentiment, but Obama never came remotely close to calling Farrakhan a hero.

Obama’s Professor Derrick Bell did. A man is known by the company he keeps.

Yes, because we adopt every belief our professors hold. Even if he was close to this professor, who cares? A student can be close to an instructor while disagreeing with them vehemently. I know I was/am.

Only Obama didn’t “vehemently disagree” with him. On the contrary, Obama taught his poisonous “Critical Race Theory” to his own students. Bell and Obama demanded that Harvard set quotas to increase the number of black faculty members. When they refused Bell went on strike and Obama supported him. Obama was/is an adherent of Bell’s radical black supremacist ideology. Who cares? Anyone who is not a frigging black supremacist or a halfwit I would imagine.
"Members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community have been celebrating Brooklyn Pride Week…
Interior Secretary Sally Jewel recently announced that the National Park Service will start to mark places of significance to the history of the LGBT community, and many are hoping that the Fort Greene neighborhood is included…
Activists also say that gay bars like the Starlight Bar and Prospect Park are other notable spots in the LGBT community.
The Parks Department will be coming up with a panel of scholars to determine which sites will make the list. Some of them could even become national monuments."
Gay bars to become national monuments? US embassies flying rainbow flags? What is wrong with these people? Seriously, what is the matter with them?

Again, Obama never praised Farrakhan. The meme peddled a lie. Truth is important, and correcting things that aren’t true is a reward in itself.
As for Bell, Obama never praised Bell’s praise of Farrakhan. Obama is responsible for nothing the former said about the latter. There isn’t the slightest indication that Obama admires anything about Farrakhan. In fact, there was a denunciation.
Students are not responsible for the individual stupid things said by professors to whom they’re close. I’m very close with a few highly prominent professors from my undergraduate and graduate years. I still work with them, I eat dinner with them, my girlfriend and I stay in their houses. I also disagree with much of what they say. One of them is highly conservative and probably the most religious person I’ve ever met; another is close to a communist. Nothing the former says about gay marriage or the latter says about global taxes on wealth reflect on me in the slightest, and I would not apologize for either in any possible world.
Or consider a different scenario.
Smh runs for president.
It comes to light that he likes to post on T-Nation.
Two posts gain some attention: One in which Smh praises Sexmachine as an intelligent and good guy, and one in which Sexmachine, in the heat of one of his many derisive diatribes on gays, makes a derogatory allusion to “faggotry.”
The analog to our current discussion would be a meme in which it is stated that “Smh said ‘faggot.’”
Not only would that be baldly incorrect, it would also not even hold a kernel of truth, because, me being me and not you, I am literally free of responsibility with regard to everything you’ve ever said about gays in your entire life.

Unless Obama said anything about Bell’s praise of Farrakhan, you have no case whatsoever.

However as I stated above, Obama adopted Bell’s Critical Race Theory and taught it to his own students. Obama also participated in efforts to bully Harvard into adopting race quotas to increase the number of black faculty members. This radical racist ideology is reflected in Obama’s policy and manifests itself through such initiatives as “My Brother’s Keeper” (whites need not apply) and “my (imaginary) son could’ve looked like Trayvon.”

All students in the liberal arts and humanities should be taught their discipline’s respective critical theory; not because it’s “correct” necessarily, but because it challenges the predominant literature. Having critical theory included in the curriculum isn’t “indoctrination” if it is balanced by more traditional methodologies.

Well, thanks for the compliment. I consider you one of the intellectual elite of PWI despite our different beliefs. And you are correct that the accusation is baseless. But my point was that Obama does in fact subscribe to radical black supremacist ideology even though he didn’t praise Farrakhan. Although Farrakhan certainly praised Obama. He obviously saw something in him that he liked. And it wasn’t just his skin colour or he would’ve praised Herman Cain too.

Yes, he associated with pretty radical professors, especially in academe.
However, a lie in a meme is a lie in a meme. And I doubt very much that Obama ever agreed with the homophobic/gutter-religion shit that Farrakhan was spouting.
Edit: And thanks in return for the too-kind words.

The accusation that Obama praised Farrakhan is in essence an accusation that Obama is a black supremacist - an accusation that is true. Thus, despite the erroneous quote and the false association, the substance of the accusation is factual.

In the context of the meme, the accusation was one of homophobia. I doubt he’s a homophobe. Wasn’t he supposed to have sucked a dick or something?

I bet the media would have cared if Bush would have had the same association with lets say… David Duke? Do you think they would have cared?
Me thinks so. They woulda been outraged.
