Transformers The Movie!

I cant believe my first post is about Transformers…but I just can’t help it.

If its based on the new transformers that dont look like robots in disguise but more like lego then the movie is gonna suck hard. Theres like 5 autobots and about 6 decepticons in the new cartoons. So lame.

We NEED the old crew - headmasters is about late as I’d go.

By the way, I’m 28 and never really got over transformers, or visionaries, or mask, or galaxy rangers…

Yes, that too. Ego reasons as well. My hate isn’t justified, but it doesn’t need to be.

To Prof x: Movies like ATL, Baby Boy, Soul Plane, and Roll Bounce just set me off. Just hate those kind of movies…but Soul Plane is its own kind of horrible. That set black people back a few years.

Out of the ones you listed, I only saw Baby Boy and didn’t consider it to be that bad at all. Like I said, it is nowhere near a “favorite”, but it was watchable. I understand what you mean by some current “blaxploitation” films. You can add in “Diary of a mad black woman” and others as well. However, you can’t just toss them all into the same pile because of standouts like Boyz n The Hood and Menace To Society. Jason’s Lyric wasn’t bad at all either and marked a specific time in my life while I was growing up.

Either way, I still don’t see why you hate Tyrese because of 2 Fast 2 Furious. It was a popcorn movie…which was exactly the audience they were shooting for. the same with the new one Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift. It is all the same thing directed at the same people.

Go watch Four Brothers and tell me if you still hate him.
Whoa whoa, now that’s different. I liked Boys in the Hood, I liked Jason’s Lyric(Allen Payne is underated and overlooked), New Jack City is classic, and Menace to Society was good, even though I liked the parody better.
Remember South Central with Glenn Plummer. Great movie.

Just the movies out now I just don’t like. Jus fuckin hate them. Coach Carter was good. I liked Paid in Full though, that was good.

I’ve seen Four Brothers, I just don’t see how the Marky Mark is leading them all. And yes, I still didn’t like Tyrese. Show me a movie where his character dies and I’ll give that movie a C plus.

Raise your hand if you cried when most of the autobots died in the beginning of the movie. You know you did…

Man, I boohooed when Prime passed the Matrix to Ultra Magnus…I was 10 years old. First time I’d ever dealt with death in a movie. Then when my mom picked us back up at the movie theater, and me and my brother were crying it seriously freaked her out. She musta thought the old man selling us popcorn showed us his golden ticket or something.

thats a sad story :frowning: i cried too.

Hahha, I laughed. I’m a D-con guy.

Screw you dude…you know Prime kicked Megatron’s ass…if it wasn’t for Unicron turning him into Galvatron…wait…jesus, I’m a dork…
Firt, Megatron whooped that ass. Megatron has Prime on his knees and at Gunpoint. Tron’s pride got in the way and he LET Prime hit him with that Double Axe handle…then he went on to tumble through all the debris. At least Megatron survived, Optimus knew he was gonna die and gave up the Matrix.

Look down Below, Autobot bitches

I think you need to work out some of this Tyrese hatred. It isn’t healthy. Ben Affleck deserves hatred. Tyrese…not so much.

There were some minor size issues they will have to work out with Megatron’s transformation from a gun to a giant robot.

I hear it is gonna be the original characters, but the cars will obviously be a bit different.

Mask!?!?!!! Wow, I haven’t heard that in a WHILE. I had a TON of those toys. I have no idea what I did with them.

I wonder if they’ll have the Destructicons…and the Dinobots…

“Me Grimlock…me hate Tyrese and Usher…Grimlock kill Tyrese and Usher”

Yeah, good stuff

You are all forgetting… Shockwave pwns j00. He’s the quiet bad-ass no one suspects.

Also I think I heard somewhere that Shockwave was the real Decepticon leader; or ruler of Cybertron… or something like that?

Pardon my interruption of the Transformer’s discussion but is the car PGA posted on the first page the 2007 Camaro?

Prof, you were probably too old back in the day to care to know this, but the Decepticons had hape-shifting technology that allowed them to shrink and expand within a given limit.

Shockwave wasn’t quiet if I remember correctly. I think you’re referring to “Soundwave,” Megatron’s right hand man, or cassette player.
