Can we make a short name out of that?

There was so much that made me angry about this movie that I really just can’t care enough to type it all. Continuity issues, horrific use of suspension of disbelief(I’m aware it’s a ‘tool’ for sci-fi/action movies but holy fuck it doesn’t have to be involved in everything), more trashing of the cartoon canon for no real reason(some cinematic freedom would be fine if it had a purpose)… blah
At least the 3d came out really good(imo)?

Yeah the 3d wasn’t bad we got a nice shot of whatshertoosh right in the begining.
I’m surprised Bay let his two favorite transformers die at the end Wheelie and the other had more screen time than Bumblebee or Prime
what a piece of shit movie.
1st 1.5 hrs was ok, after that (mainly once the Chicago scene started) it sucked balls. totally lost interest. In fact, I’m posting this now while the movie plays in the background.
I’m only finishing the movie just to know how it ends
Cephalic_Carnage, your explanation is very good. It’s the right way to describe why the climax battle was not good. Things were happening randomly and without a flow. I remember there was a moment that humans were fighting against the Decepticons and I was wondering where in the world were Optimus Prime and company. They were supposed to be fighting the Decepticons, but they were nowhere to be seen.
Judging by the comments at youtube and some forums, it seems Transformers 3 is the movie of the year and very cool. I can’t blame the youth though, because when I watched Independence Day I also thought it was the best movie ever.
It has a 7.0 at IMDB so far :
Males under 18 1,016 8.3
Females under 18b 105 8.4
35% of voters gave it a 10…
Whenever Armageddon is on TV I can watch the first 45 minutes every time, but I’ve only seen the whole movie once, and that was when it came out.

Only seen it once, but in example, I really like The Rock and I’d put it as one of top action movies ever.

she’s hot, but no where near as hot as Fox in the 1st one
I saw this drivel yesterday, waaay too long, if it was 90 minutes it would of been better. Not enough Megatron, not enough robot on robot action. I also agree about the autobots having robot hair and looking more human, stupid.
But the main question I have is…how the fuck does that broad who is falling down buildings and dodging bullets and transformers leave her High Heel Pumps on through the whole fucking movie.
^ Matty that is the first thing the wife said at the end. I thought it was entertaining no real complaints, yes it could have been more. I just go in with low expectations now on all movies so I will not be disappointed.
I personally thought this movie was quite good; much better than 2. I really liked Rosie Huntington’s performance. There were a few things that bothered me, though. It was stupid in the fight when spock prime beats up optimus but then he is suddenly able to 1 hit megatron and finish off Spock prime. Megatron deserved that kill because he actually defeated Spock prime. Also if megatron KOd the guy who busted up optimus, how the hell did optimus kill him without A fight? It really didn’t make sense. Also it was stupid as hell when Spock prime said the “needs of the many” line. How the hell were 6.5 billion humans the “few”? Couldn’t they have used a Spock line that made sense? Also I was thinking there was one star trek episode where Spock had a beard and was evil. In this movie Spock prime had a beard and was evil. Coincidence? I think not.
My BIGGEST wtf moment from the movie came when they were in Chicago and Shia Labeouf starts doing fucking ninja/parkour moves over and under the cars to stop Patrick Dempsey from starting the pillars! haha. All of the special forces soldiers were running normally and Shia just decides, “I’m going to slide under a car.” I’m only picking of course, but it was a little oddly placed.
Overall I enjoyed myself. Definitely enough action, plot line was spotty though.

I understood the “needs of many” not as in humans, but Decepticons vs Autobots. Aren’t Autobots heavily outnumbered in the galaxy by the others?
Mind that I’m quite clueless about the Transformers background, but that’s how I understood it.

I just got back from seeing it and I agree with what has been said. The best part was the beginning 30min or so showing the history of the story. The focus on humans was frustrating along with the humanization of some of the bots. There are other points as well but overall, I would give it a 6/10. Im sure the teens and kids loved it.
