Training process ? fresh on TRT

Hey guys ive lifted on and off through life but usually only 6 months to a year of being super serious at a time. I struggle a little with diet not with macros i can hit those easy but i 100% can not bring myself to eat vegetables (other than green beans and occasionally corn and those arent very often) i even tried one of the greens powders and even though it didnt taste horrible i still threw it up shortly after. Anyway my question is ive been in a pretty large calorie deficit for 2-3 months and lost right at 30 pounds i switched to maintenance because i was pretty burnt out. I just started TRT 3 weeks ago for the non performance enhancement health benefits with the perk of possibly helping out fitness wise so should i maintain for a few weeks then go back to dieting or try to put on some muscle while the trt is kicking in? Im 29yo 5’9" and weight fluctuates between 175 and 178 and my scale says 22-24% BF. From what ive read on here yall will probably say i need to lean out more before trying to eat in a surplus to purposely put on mass, just want to make sure im going in the right direction to be as optimal as possible. Also i hope i put this in the right area and i also apologize for the long book just tried to include everything i see you more experienced guys ask people with these kinds of questions. I appreciate yall being so helpful

What did your labs look like prior to TRT? That’s very young so you were either a clear case of hypogonadism or shouldn’t have been scripted.

I would focus on food QUALITY rather than quantity at this point, let your health continue to improve as you continue to train. Your body will most likely recomposition if you have been hypogonadal.

I will figure out how to post the whole report but i know the first one my test was 179 and the second test 4 days later was 219

I was wondering about that the insane amount of videos ive watched i figured i still had a little bit of recomp time left in the tank which im assuming actually having decent test for once will help that even more. So ill probably try to stay around maintenance calories maybe slight deficit here and there to see where that takes me. Thank you

Ok well at least it’s legit need.

Sorry had to delete to take a little more of my information off it but this was the first one

The only overall health issues found by the 2nd more in depth test was slight elevated LDL which is strange because i havent eaten fast food in months but my diet used to be horrendous so hopefully its just still coming down from before

Yeah good call I saw that. Definitely make sense going the TRT route if these are your natural labs. Having proper T levels is already going to be transformational if you hit the gym period even doing so unideal. I wouldn’t worry about bulk or cut for probably 4 months minimum. Just get dialed in, hit the gym 3-4 times a week and focus on healthy choices. Your body will change.

Ok i appreciate it i can handle that since i feel a lot better with the initial 30 pound loss im fine taking things slower now i go 6 days a week which i know a lot of ppl say can cause burn out at first but if i miss more than a day or two ill stop going im a very routine type person it drives me insane to not go on sundays just because i know i need a rest day. I use the RP hypertrophy app to help to make sure im at least progressing and to keep me from overdoing it. Before i used it i would do ppl and just do like 7 or 8 different exercises so ive learned sometimes less is better with accumulated fatigue and all

You’ll most likely find you need go train less now that your levels are fixed. I had a test of 38 and 42 on my 2 labs, and I waa training 2-3 times per day 7 days a week for the smallest of gains. When I got medicated, I could drop to once a day 3-4 times per week of lifting and see incredible growth.

That would be sick i knew something wasnt right other than all the other symptoms like being tired all the time, sex drive, etc. When i was lifting super hard 6 days a week and was barely seeing improvements every other time ive started working out after a long break i would immediately get way stronger and see obvious results within the first few weeks. Im just glad i swallowed my pride enough to get checked lol
