Whoever said that quote couldn’t have been you or pertain to you; you got a snappy log clean along with abs, back, legs, arms… I forgot where I’m going with this.
Sweet log press
I need progress pics of this bulk said to take place

Thanks, I got challenged to go for 275 on this, I want to get that next year.
Hey thats selfish of you! I figured if I hadn’t eaten/drank anything for 24 hours I might as well take a picture.
Thanks all I do is squat/deadlift/events
4.I was just making a joke, I do that a lot I try not to be to serious.
Thanks, I am going to try to get up to 250 by February
Where did you hear of my bulk? I don’t think I posted about it here but yea I plan on putting on about 10lb of muscle in the next few months. Next contest will probably be at 200lbs

Take 2, Action!
You have a lot of goals, that’s awesome.
I’m very selfish, but I don’t want you to suffer too much so I’ll be okay with a bored pic of you once a month
You’re right, you didn’t mention bulking. I musta imagined it. I like when guys bulk so much, I guess I’m just making it up for you guys now :P
I hate when that happens…
You got to be a little selfish to devote as much time to training as me or you do, Its a good thing. I can manage one a month
I think you read my mind, Eating a lot of food has been great but I’m still at 180. Funny how that works
easy reps… Damn i hate the axle ZERO bend in it and well of course the grip.
Yoke 100’ no belt
150x1
240x1
310x1
450x3
Just working on speed and core strength… damn shins already hurt
Stones to 48"
230,250,280 2 runs 280 was fairly hard the 2nd set. Cold today tacky didn’t work that great and was an extra pain removing, Damn I hate removing tacky
You may do more pics if you like, please don’t feel limited to one
When is your next contest that you have to gain 20 lbs by?
I don’t lift enough weight for bars to bend, so why don’t you like that axles don’t bend?
Can you imagine if they did bend though? Jeepers, cars will be breaking down on the roads. Massive chaos and destruction.
Nice log, it’s nice to see the log of someone about the same weight as me. I keep going through logs here wondering how people got so strong, then I see they weight like 50 pounds more than me.

OK no problem
about 3 months. I might do a powerlifitng meet in January though. I probably won’t gain 20lbs I want to get up to around 190. I can compete at 200 or drop down to 175 if I need to from there.
On a good bar, it flexes a bit when your lifting it, so you pull the slack out so there is some give before you have to lift the whole weight, On real deadlift bars like a texas deadlift bar or okie deadlift bar there is more flex which makes deadlifting feel so easy, its almost cheating! on an axle bar it doesn’t flex at all which means whatever it weighs you have to break that off the floor dead stop. Of course the main problem with the axle bar is the grip as it is 2" around.
Here is a video showing flex in a bar, This was an 18" deadlift and I think a Okie deadlift bar, it was so damn flexy I damn near got 705… I’ve seen worse get a good lift but oh well I can do it now thats what matters.

Thanks man, of course bodyweight helps but I was 215 last year and am stronger and better at strongmen now. To much is made of bodyweight, just eat good food, lift heavy stuff, repeat you’ll get strong. There is a whole lot of people on this site who think you have to weigh 200+ to matter. Thats just dumb, a whole lot of factors come into it.
I’ve been really wanting to do some 18" deadlifts lately so I did some tonight. The good news I got a 30lb pr the bad news I ran out of room on the bar and had more in me.

Good day, happy with my squat for barely ever back squatting, really plan to get this lift up to all time levels and it will happen.
Time for Egg Nog
Oh I did some backwards sled drags a few hours before this. I will do these every week because nationals showed me I really suck at them.

I have no doubt that you will do it.
You’re having egg nogg for the protein, no? :P
Thanks for the vote of confidence. Powerlifting meet January 11th if I could get 455 I’ll uhhhh be real happy.
Egg Nog because its awesome, After this week no more though I gained 7lbs in a week I’ve been drinking a quart+ a day.
I was reading your log and btw I would be sure to bother you in between sets
Nikki9591 wrote:
Have you ever done a Smolov routine?
Either way, I think you can do it. You probably just have to add 50# to your max and you’ll have it.
Lol well you wanted to bulk. 7 lbs in a week, you are now a success story.
You sir can bother me anytime ;D
No I haven’t I did super squats once (20 rep squat program) Squat has never been a weak point or a contested lift in strongman so I’ve never really focused on it. Most I’ve ever squatted was 425 but I was heavier. Also Knee wraps are allowed in the comp and I hear they are good for 20-50lbs if used right. I mainly just want to wear a singlet haha
Gaining weight is never a problem, 1,200 calories of a egg nog a day and cheesecake is not the way to do it though!
Even if I say things like “wow you train hard… for a girl”
Those kind of interruptions would be annoying I imagine.
Well, I’m sure you’ll find a way. You probably have to wrap the knee wraps really tight?
I don’t know, but power to you.
You eat cheesecake too?
Hello… ‘cheese’… protein dude. ‘EGG’ nogg… man you got this bulking thing down pat.
Why would you say that?
Haha
They’re not ALWAYS annoying. People talk to me everytime I’m in the gym and it doesn’t bother me most times. It’s all about timing. I’m mostly always flattered when people ask about my training, my work ethic, etc. There’s just a time and place for everything.
I guess you avoid all those kinds of people since you train at home. Except for the dog buggin you

From what I hear yea really tight to get some good stretch and rebound out of the hole. I waddle enough as is, can’t wait to try knee wraps on.
Cheesecake might be my favorite… Gram cracker crust is awesome. I’m having pumpkin cheesecake with ginger cookie crust tomorrow. Can’t wait
I like your logic, it makes perfect sense.
I hear you, most people mean well, yea at home its all me. I have went to a commercial gym a few times, carrying the log through the gym attracts some attention. I found people wanted to say something a lot but where apprehensive.
