Got one of the best chest pumps I’ve ever gotten from supersetting the flies and push-ups. Between this & some bicep supersets I’ve been doing, I’ve gotten a great stimulus. Might need to lean into the “same muscle” supersets more (not sure the real name for them). Good stuff today, bbb is going well

Got a trip in two weeks, so I’m not really in a spot to start something new, but I think I just did 5/3/1 for so long that it bores me way to much to stick with. I’ve got weeks to figure out what to do after the trip, but these next two weeks will probably be trying some stuff out & seeing what might be worth giving a good run at

Got a pretty good stimulus from the single set of 21’s. Of course, I was pretty tired overall going into it, but there wasn’t a need for a second set today. Still liking this experimental week

Did big supersets for the pushing and pulling assistance. I’ve liked this week so far. It’s simple: go hard on the main lift, hammer some bodybuilding work. Definitely thinking I’ll give this an honest run after my trip. Not 100% on the move for assistance, but I’ll play around with that tomorrow and next week

Did this with the whole fam in the garage, so rest was just whatever was convenient. Went decently hard on it, pretty tired by the end
Update: got hit with a bad stomach bug/fever combo Saturday night. Lost some weight & felt absolutely terrible. Spent the last two days recovering, might be able to get a light workout in tonight depending on how I feel at that point

Listened to Eric Bugenhagen some on my drive home from work, & thought “screw it, I might be just getting over a sickness & leaving to travel in a couple days, but let’s just go hard”. Glad I did. Can’t remember my all time best set of deads exactly, but 330x10 is the highest that I feel like I have a memory of. So at least tied that today. Pretty sweet

I know I’ve had stomach bug this past week & also went heavy the last couple days in a row (gosh I’m an idiot…) but I’m still kind of bummed with these numbers. I guess I haven’t touched or practiced high percentage weights either. But, bench was a huge grinder, doubt I had any more than 5lbs left in me, and even that would be generous. Squat had a little bit in the tank, but again not too much. It’s just been a tough couple months of training with how frequently I’ve been getting sick. I guess that’s life sometimes with two young kids. But…I’m fired up to get after it. Gonna enjoy some vacation with the family this next week, & probably do some scheming in my downtime, but I’m ready to break some doors down when we get back
