I thought it was, I have no clue if its true or not though. One of you guys should start taking it again for 3 months and tell me if you feel better to verify it ![]()
I’ve never used the stuff as it seems too expensive, at least through my doc. But I have been curious if I would feel any better on it.
Here we are three days after that tiny dose and I’m still having weird anxiety and heart racing issues… has to be some strange allergy or something
So I felt back to normal today, got a bit excited to try this test and went ahead and did it. I mixed 10,000iu of ‘HP’, or highly purified HCG and injected the same amount as I did the other day, around 25 iu. So far, no reaction whatsoever. This is from a legit pharmacy as well. It has been 2 hours, so I’m going to give it a few more to see if there is any difference but I am hoping this is a good sign.
In case anyone is interested in how I came up with the idea, I attached the link to the study I looked at below. Unfortunately the study is vague about what the subject’s “hypersensitivity” reaction was to the drugs in this study but it does state she had reactions to hcg that did not occur with the HP-HCG
I ended up using 400iu of the HCG and had no horrible anxiety reactions at all. This was on Saturday. Nearing 24 hours later I noticed that my ring was almost stuck to my hand as my fingers were swollen. Balls firmed up but I believe it raised up my estrogen as I had slightly higher blood pressure and a bit of that chest tightness again. I may stick to just using this every once in a while to remind the nuts they are there. That or incorporate it at very low daily doses.
On a side note, I checked my heart rate monitor after not looking for a while and it appears my resting HR is up to 70 bpm. Not terrible by any means but it sucks seeing it come up from 60 as we all know lower RHR correlates with better health. Feels like my heart is working a Bit harder too but I’m going to wait and see once my estrogen goes back down if this corrects itself. I’d bet the HCG had something to do with it
Need some help here guys, as I was worried some problems would come up. The past few days my heart rate has continued to climb and has become somewhat elevated, hovering around 85. I am having stress dreams more often and waking up with a racing heart. It elevates easy upon exertion. Beta blockers don’t really do much. Also I feel very hot all the time.
Along with this I am getting pain/tightness in my chest, and I feel a bit more short of breath all the time. I am taking nexium to no avail. I was thinking maybe iron is lowering? Can’t get labs until after the holiday though. Wondering if the labs I have posted below indicate that my iron wasn’t great to begin with… anyways let me know what you think. Happy Thanksgiving

shortness of breath went away, I was just being anxious.
Just had the worst doctor visit ever however. Balls have been hurting so I went in and asked for hcg (urologist had already offered this prior)
Nurse asked if I had any labs to show- sure I do, so I sent my last two testosterone e2 labs. The first one with the 1200 TT but around 85 shbg so FT was only 16 out of 25.
Then the second, showing me at 755? TT and 20 FT with a normal shbg, showing that my shbg stabilized…
Doctor comes in super pissed out of nowhere that my test is “too high” and demands to know what I’m taking. Well sir you prescribed me 200 mg to start and I’ve been on 36 mg EOD now for many weeks. “Test is too high, we will do HCG 500 iu on the days you don’t take the T, then cut the T dose In HALF”
So he wants me on 500 iu hcg every other day and 16 mg EOD now when my TT is only at 755 ish. What in the fuck. Keeps referring to “whatever you’re doing” as though I’m lying. Like dude i took it upon myself to take almost half of what you prescribed and now I’m a roid head? What the hell
Incredibly frustrated as it’s going to cost me around 300 to switch over now and I’m already broke as it is. But I guess it’s worth not having to deal with a guy who is going to freak out about a 16 FT level. Jesus Christ
Edit: should mention the dude never once asked how I’m feeling. Just immediately acted like I’m abusing
If its a regular health care medical provider, you gota understand the liability they face. Their lack of knowledge in the subject frightens them if anything is off. By your numbers being a little high, hes responsible technically I’m assuming.
Odd that a beta blocker isn’t helping.
I definitely understand the liability as I am sure the DEA is a pain in the ass when it comes to testosterone. I totally get that part. But the doc’s flip out just showed me he doesn’t really know what he’s doing. Of the two labs, my FT was higher when my TT was at 750 than it was at 1200. Meaning if he thought the one at 1200 was too high then he definitely should have been concerned with the other lab. He just saw the word “high” on the labcorp form and didn’t look past that
And thinking that HCG is going to raise my testosterone enough that I need to cut my dose in half is a joke. At an LH of 6 my TT was 200
Switch to defy if need be, they’ve been pretty good to me. Besides the price obviously… Im young so that shit takes a toll on my bank
Yeah I was with them before but came off when I thought testosterone was giving me problems (it was actually their hcg in particular) and when I still wasn’t fully convinced I need it. I’m young too and yeah the expense sucks. I’m always worried I’m gonna go broke and not be able to afford it
Well I found a new doc guys, this one seems much more lenient. Showed him my latest labs (about 750 TT with 21 FT and E2 at 17) where I’m feeling like shit. He said he has plenty of guys with levels closer to 1200-1400 that feel great and scripted me 200mg/week to use as I see fit as long as I keep him updated.
Thinking about bumping up to 42 or 44 mg EOD to see if that puts my estrogen where it needs to be. Seems like a good enough idea?
Sounds like you hit the doctor lottery, nice work!
Sorry if you posted this, but where do you want your estrogen to be?
We’re all different of course, but 42mg EOD has me at:
TT - 1312
FT - 249 (24.9)
SHBG - 26
Sensitive E2 - 49
I think it’s a great idea, just be prepared to wait it out for 8 weeks before changing anything. Looking forward to following along!
Well 17 is lower than when I started, I suppose it depends on how high my t level gets on the new dose but I would prefer a high T with maybe estrogen around low 40s or above… seems several here who have given me advice feel good at those levels.
Are you using an AI at that dose? Tbh doctors appointment was last Friday and since then I’ve done 44 mg eod and I might stick with it just to see where I end up. I will say though i feel very bloated and my heart rate has gone up again, I assume if I stick with it the bloat should subside? Or do I need to be doing something else to make that go away?
No, I don’t take an AI. I messed with DIM about a year ago, but that didn’t last long.
How is your diet? Do you eat cruciferous vegetables? Broccoli? Do you drink a lot of hoppy beer?
I notice I might get bloated a time or two, but it’s usually diet related where I’ve eaten too many high glycemic carbs. I seem to feel a lot better with higher protein, moderate fat and under 100 grams a day if carbs. And those carbs I eat have to be lower glycemic ones like sweet potatoes.
I also had an increased heart rate when I first started moving up in dose. I’d lay in bed and I could hear my heart and feel it pounding. That also went away with time.
It’s not easy to just stay the course and ignore those things, but I personally think that’s what needs to be done to get where we all want to go. I think you’ll have some ups and downs along the way. Just think, the time is going to pass anyway, might as well stick to the dose and be consistent… You will be rewarded for your patience and persistence.
Since I started to pay attention to my hormone levels a year or two ago I haven’t really drank much at all, so we can say I drink rarely.
I was eating plenty of broccoli until I started traveling again for work but I should be home for a while so I’m going to try to get back to that.
You may be onto something with the carbs, as I had a greasy, carb heavy meal for lunch and that is when I started to notice the bloat and heart rate. I’ll work on diet and see where that goes.
And yes I’d say pushing through the sides is definitely the hardest part of TRT by far. I’m sure it will be worth it once I find a point where I feel good though
Almost two weeks in on the new dose and not much has changed, although I feel stronger. However I am getting a strange feeling in my chest. Blood pressure is 120/80 and resting pulse is up to 69-70, so still not bad there. However I have a strange tightness in my chest where it feels like I cannot get a full breath. I can physically breathe in deeply but my breaths do not feel satisfying. It’s been leading to a few bouts of anxiety as breathing issues aren’t very comfortable. I’ve biked every day this week for about 45 minutes at a time and lived so there is that… but regardless this sensation is very uncomfortable. Anybody experienced something like this before?
Any advice on this air hunger guys? I ran bloodwork today and should have it back next week. Starting to freak me out but it seems to come and go
@touchindeez
I had that when I first stated TRT. I walked 30k steps a day doing Real Estate in NYC and all of a sudden I was feeling like I couldn’t breathe when I walked up stairs. It completely went away after a month or two on its own. Definitely was a scary feeling in the beginning.
Glad I’m not the only one, I will try to stick it out. I’m wondering if it’s not a symptom of bloating… I feel very “full” as odd as that sounds so maybe I’ve got some extra water putting pressure on my lungs? Who knows
Could definitely be anxiety as well though, about to change my job/health insurance and move so the stressors are definitely there. Side effects that don’t involve my breathing/heart would be GREAT
Nobody here is gonna be able to answer these questions. I struggle from similar issues. Testosterone is gonna affect your heart rate/bp which will also affect your lungs, obviously the anxiety will add to this. Testosterone will boost adrenaline, and increase your rbc, making things feel heavier and harder to breath etc. But yeah you most likely won’t find any solutions here, everyone only has personal ancedotle reports.
