My total testosterone came in at 832 on my last test after taking test. cypionate inj for several months at just 50mg per week. I have since relocated and the new doctor is telling me that it is too high and has reduced the dosage to only 25mg per week. I have since felt the decreased drive and felt just numb overall.
Is 832 ng/dL too high for a 33 year old male? If so, what should I target?

Honestly, I would find a new doctor. It took me three before I was happy with one. It was a process, we both got educated on proper protocols and labs, how it all works, and what X/Y/Z means in relation to each other. The key was that I was knowledgeable before I went in, and had an idea of how I wanted things. Test, HCG, AI. Once we got educated, getting dialed in was easier.
Does he understand what that range means, and how it was established? You are paying for a service here, just like you would a mechanic, except in this case, the “car” being worked on is you. The goal of TRT is to feel better, right? Why wouldn’t you want to feel as good as you can, safely? Personally, my valley (last day before next shot) is between 700-800 (1100 top of range), which likely puts me at the upper end of the range at peak (day of/after shot). It’s not like you’re on a cycle here with TT up in the thousands - that causes problems.
It is true that TRT can make apnea worse if you are prone, the same with MPB. If you are predisposed for MPB, TRT can accelerate that. I’ve never heard of anyone getting nausea from test.

I asked my doctor about this, but he stated that at this level, I may have higher risk for prostate cancer, hair loss nausea, sleep apnea, etc.
Your Dr. is wrong - My test is mid 800’s natty - I’m 63 and have all my hair not even close to prostate cancer - my PSA is 0.2, no nausea since I quit drinking and I sleep fine

I highly doubt your 809 natty at 63
It was 840 @ 61 y/o 886 @ 51 - that is when I first had it measured - I worded my response that way to show that my test has been at that level for a long time -( not just recent because of supplementation ) and I do not have any of the health issues the man’s Dr is talking about - jim

By the way, the test was done 5 days after my injection. 832 still too high? I inject weekly.
That make’s the number seem a little higher… Since your still likely at 600 or so trough…
If you feel good , blood pressure is good… Hemacrit is good, then everything seems good…
