If I leave all the windows of my car down, and money and electronics laying in it, and go in to the mall for a few hours… the police would probably give me a funny look when I explain to them that my stuff was stolen.
Of course none of that morally justifies someone robbing me - but its considered common sense that we take precautions to protect our property. I think it’s even better sense to suggest that women take precautions to protect their bodies.
I am curious how they came up with the percentages of Rapes that were due to the woman’s dress. I would be willing to bet the women that were raped were probably hookers and that is how they came up with the percentage . I think all these analogies are stupid. Hookers probably get raped more than nonhookers and it probably is an occupational hazard.
