Topical Fat Loss Supps

Has anybody tried Yohumburn ES? Any thoughts on it? And no, it’s not just a topical diuretic – topical yohimbe would actually have just the opposite effect. I know that some of the T-Nation writers/contributors have said they’ve used topical “fat burners” that gave “some” results but nothing amazing (I believe CT mentioned that, but he didn’t name which one). Is it a complete scam?

I would think so. And if not, the effects would be very minimal and temporary. Those who see some results are also dieting hard and taking other supplements, so I’d question where the results are really coming from.

The rule here is:

These are for finishing touches, they have no noticable effect on people carrying a lot of fat.

Topical fat loss is meant for people in near contest shape who have a lagging body part.

Samsmarts,

Understood completely, but do they even have an effect in those cases (when someone is already quite lean) or is it just complete BS?

Yes they work but like i said you wont notice any difference whatsoever unless you are already relatively lean. The overall bang for buck is way too low when compared to traditional burners like HOT-ROX but the site specific impact can be very valuable to those trying to get competition ready.

I honestly dont know much about the specific product you are using however here some rules you should practice when looking for topical products:

-They need to be able to deliever the active ingredients subcutaneous adipose tissue.

  • Go for concentrated formulas because most products have low absorbtion rate. However due to cheap delivery agents watch out for skin conditions, the salicylic acid based formulas can dry your skin up, and the more expensive products which claim to contain pure dimethylsulfoxide. Will cause your skin even more damage if abused, and smell like cheap medicine.

-Avoid products which are highly water soluble and offer low lipid solubility.
